    Milkbar Sampler

I know we’re all missing people we love. Sometimes, it can be helpful to send them something in the mail that lets them know you are thinking about them and wish you could all be together. The sweetest thing I can think of to send (literally) is The Sampler from Milkbar. It includes the famed bakery’s most beloved treats, in adorable packaging, and is a guaranteed good gift for anyone you know who appreciates the fine art that is quality deserts. This should be your absolute go-to for upcoming summer birthdays, fyi!

    Baking Gold

I’m baking, you’re baking, everyone’s baking! If you’re feeling like you need to add some creativity and skill to your mix, pun definitely intended, Baking Gold by pastry chef Jami Curl is genius. The book is based on the idea that you can be endlessly, culinarily creative with just three doughs, two batters, and one “magic mix.” Also this book relies heavily on the use of sprinkles and decoration, so… I’m sold?

    Cerebelly Baby Food

Brain food for babies? Absolutely. Cerebelly is baby food designed by a neurosurgeon mom who also decided to get a PhD in Developmental Neurobiology (in her spare time). She was disappointed in the nutrient levels of typical baby food so she created a line of baby food that’s organic and full of the nutrients that growing and developing brains and bodies really need. It comes delivered to your door, which I thoroughly appreciate these days, and Colette’s discerning palate seems to be happy as can be with the nutrient-rich flavors.

    Soft Boiled Egg

I know we’re all looking for smart meal prep moves these days, and I’m currently on a soft boiled egg kick and wanted to discuss. It can be hard to find the right method for achieving the perfect soft boiled egg, but I’ve been using the steaming method because I’ve found it to be the easiest and most consistent. To achieve it, just bring about an inch of water in a pot to a boil. Add your eggs (this method is intended for LARGE eggs, btw!), throw the lid on, and set your timer for five minutes and thirty seconds.…

    The Donut Pub

GIMME DONUTS. Sorry, lost my cool there for a second. The Donut Pub is my new local obsession because they (1) sell incredible, INCREDIBLE donuts and (2) also sell a salted caramel croissant donut which is SO MANY GOOD WORDS IN ONE SENTENCE and also life-alteringly delicious. If you’re in NYC, run don’t walk or… ORDER THEM RIGHT NOW ON SEAMLESS. Yes, this day will go down in history as the day donut delivery entered your life. Remember it always.

    Good Stock Soups

In this house, we love a quick route to delicious meals, particularly when there’s a strong focus on nutrition. Goodstock Soups, of NYC fame, have recently expanded their shipment locations to include the entire East Coast and as far west as Oklahoma, Kansas and Minnesota. With wholesome ingredients, no additives, and zero preservatives,  they’re the best, most convenient way to get nutritious, comforting, delicious soup on the table in no time. Just take the individual bags out of your freezer, heat and serve. We’re busy. It’s winter. I want the soup. Sometimes I even share with Rich.

    Single Serving Wine

Because we love wine, but don’t necessarily want a bottle every time we want a glass, I recently asked you all for single-serving wine recommendations via my Instastories. You delivered. Standout suggestions that I’ll be trying include: Nomadica, Vinebox, and Usual Wines. Cheers to making that entirely necessary evening glass a little bit more convenient.

    Barefoot Contessa Rosemary Cashews

Ummmm I need to talk about cashews. My aunt made these rosemary cashews by Ina Garten over the holidays and I literally could not control myself. These are so good to have for snacking or to set out with cocktails when you have company. I’d have never thought to combine rosemary with a little cayenne pepper but WOW. Also, the recipe is so easy, it’s literally four steps and one of them is turning on your oven. MAKE THESE NOW.

    Aveda Tea

Yep, Aveda makes tea. I’ve been enjoying this “comforting tea” for years at my Aveda salon, and I finally asked them what it was. It’s actually Aveda’s own tea, but it’s available for purchase (and consumption in front of Netflix) at Nordstrom. It’s a delicious blend of licorice root (which, shockingly, is DELICIOUS in subtle tea form) and peppermint that’s conveniently caffeine-free, so you can have it any time you’re in need of a cup of cozy. Personally, I’d suggest you add this to your bedtime routine, stat.

    Home Chef Meal Subscription

We’ve dabbled in meal subscriptions before, and I’m thrilled to report that Home Chef has really stood out from the pack. The recipe selections are high quality and customizable, and you’re basically getting excellent quality dinners at $10 per serving. The meals are absolutely DELICIOUS, and we’ve found them to be much easier to prepare than other meal subscriptions because Home Chef goes the extra mile in prepping things for you. Essentially they’re minimizing our grocery runs and making tastier food easier to achieve. If you want to give them a try (you really should) use code MARY80 to get…
