Newborn Favorites
So, apparently Colette requires more stuff than her mother and she’s very serious about making this point. In all honesty, it’s been overwhelming learning about all the options out there for baby products, and it’s an even greater task to try and determine which products are the best. I recently shared with you a roundup (and I’m sure it’s the first of many) of my favorite newborn baby products so far that we can’t live with out. Check out the list of new mom must-haves here.
Balloon Sleeve Cableknit Cardigan
Are you there Sweater Season? It’s me, Mary. Whenever cooler weather decides to make its entrance (and these 85 degree temperatures officially depart), I am going to be prepared. I’ve fallen in love with this sweater style from J.Crew which is a definite frontrunner for cutest cardigan ever. Cableknit plus balloon sleeves, leather covered buttons, a stand collar and an über-adorable coral hue? As far as I’m concerned, this puppy deserves a round of applause, and an immediate purchase.
Barefoot Dreams Duvet Cover & Shams
You already know I’m obsessed with this brand, but I also needed to share this delightfully cozy take on bed linens for the upcoming season because I wanted to faceplant in them the second they appeared on my screen. Without a doubt the fastest way to make your bedroom feel equipped for fall and winter is to bring in a beautifully rich texture. Swap out summer linens for something a little more substantial, and my apologies if you find it hard to peel yourself from this insanely comfortable set.
Between Two Ferns The Movie on Netflix
If, like me, you’re already a fan of Zach Galifianakis’s Between Two Ferns series, you’re in for the biggest treat ever. I haven’t seen anything this hilarious in so long. Granted, I’m running on a very unique(ly low) amount of sleep right now, but I was absolutely crying with laughter the entire film. It’s essentially Zach Galifianakis on the road conducting celebrity interviews and being his inevitably hysterical self. Seriously, you won’t even finish watching the trailer before you just go ahead and press play on the entire movie. Enjoy.
A Classic Tweed Sheath
As we head into fall, our favorite textures come back into play. I love a classic tweed sheath dress—it’s an absolutely essential part of cool weather workwear and so effortless to keep in your rotation. I love this one, by Rachel Parcell for Nordstrom. You truly cannot beat this price for a tweed sheath, and you will get so much wear out of it. You’re a pair of heels and a smart earring away from being dressed for work in five seconds. Let’s do this.
Halo Top Pops
In delicious news, Halo Top makes items on a stick now. If you love the brand’s ice creams but would also like to enjoy them without the temptation to finish an entire pint, Halo Top makes pops that are 60 calories each and generate absolutely zero dishes to consume. They also have ten grams of protein in each bar which I’ll admit I’m not exactly looking for in my ice cream but will enjoy nonetheless. I’m a huge fan and I would like these to regularly appear on my doorstep by magic please and thank you.
Pill Remover
Guys, we’ve discussed this. You do not need to throw out your pilled sweaters from seasons past. You can simply use this $8 magical gadget and give them new life! If you’d like to save hundreds (potentially thousands) of dollars in sartorial spending, take proper care of your sweaters by always following their care instructions, and removing pills when they’re looking sad. You’ll get so much more longevity out of your clothes and you’ll never feel the sting of tossing out your faves.
The Downton Abbey Movie
As you may have seen on Instagram, Rich and I had plans to attend the Downton Abbey film premiere in New York last week, but travel delays (and by delays I mean nightmares) prevented us from being there. I gave the tickets to girlfriends, cried a little, and now we’re okay. As soon as we can secure a babysitter we are so going to see Lady Mary and company on the silver screen.

It’s so nice when a product not only does what it’s supposed to do, but does it really, really well. With freezable gel packs actually built into it, this baby bottle and breastmilk cooler is brilliant for breastfeeding moms and also anyone who ever needs to keep things cool for an extended period of time. If you commute via subway with your lunch, this is perfect. (I have the polka dot option, FYI.)

Oh dear you can’t even imagine how much things new born need, but also, when you become a mother, we like to give them everything, even more than they really need, but its ok, enjoy it!!!!!!! I really love this selection. My favorite is with no doubt the balloon sleeve cable knit cardigan, I’m preparing my wardrobe for this transition and I’m looking for this kind of pieces……
