Hunter Bell’s Spring Collection
Honestly, if I were only allowed to wear Hunter Bell through end-of-summer I think I’d be entirely fine. If you haven’t taken a scroll through every bit of gingham and every delicate ruffle, you, my friend, are missing out. Every essential summer item imaginable is waiting for you, and dare I say these are some seriously packable styles, too? I recently ordered a ton of summer pieces from the brand and wore this gingham set (top here and pants here) last weekend as soon as it arrived. It comes in green as well and honestly, feels like you’re wearing PJs. If between sizes, I’d recommend going down a size in both the top and pants as they’re roomy.
My Viral Body Exfoliating Mitt
I’ve mentioned this many times in the past, but I want to be extremely certain you heard me. I’ve been passionate about in-shower exfoliating mitts and gloves for over fifteen years. Through some bizarre Amazon rabbit hole, I discovered this exfoliating mitt and am here to proclaim that it is everything you want it to be and then some. The stellar reviews, if anything, have been understated (but seriously, please read the first review on the Amazon product page about zombies and drain creatures, please). Forget your dry brushing nonsense and cut right to the chase with these gloves that will remove layers of dead skin you didn’t know you had while being gentle enough to insure no irritation is left in its wake. We’re on the precipice of the season where our skin sees broad daylight so don’t sleep on this. Get smooth, soft skin that’s ready to absorb all those delightful summery scented products, sunless tanner and SPF essentials. It’s the skin upgrade of the century. I mean it… and the hoards of beauty afficionados who have since reposted this glorious find of mine have confirmed it.
Agua by Agua Bendita Pareos
Is it a skirt? Is it a wrap? Is it a tablecloth? Is it a picnic blanket? Is it the most amount of style you can get for the least amount of sweat-inducing fabric humanly possible? It is all of these things. Obviously, I feel faint over how gorgeous this pareo is by Agua by Agua Bendita, but can we all agree that summer 2022 needs to include far more pareos than it has in years past? I’ve also got my eye on this stunner from Tuckernuck which comes in lots of beautiful, freshly floral colorways. Personally, I’ll be wearing them with this swimsuit (obsessed with the black version too) and this swimsuit for days spent on our beach.
Picnic Food Covers
You can do so much better than a paper towel that’s most definitely going to fly away. Opt for these picnic food covers by Amanda Lindroth in the sweetest, most charming little prints. They coordinate with other linens from the brand of course, and a small weight in the corners of each cover keeps them in place, so you’re not sharing your al fresco food with local insects, and you’re not chasing your picnic linen across the park.
Juliska Rattan Silverware Caddy
Elevating the look of casual outdoor dining can be a challenge. While the food may be outstanding, barbecues and cookouts don’t always have the smartest aesthetic. There are, however, simple upgrades you can make to keep your table looking polished but still seasonal, laid-back, and fun, like this effortless rattan silverware caddy. We actually use this year-round when we have pizza/movie parties in the basement rec room with family, but nothing beats a summer evening in the backyard with friends. Headboard Stoppers
First, get your mind out of the gutter. We don’t actually use these for headboards (though you can, of course) and have instead found them useful for all kinds of other furniture that is placed against walls that are prone to rattling or getting knocked. These stopper devices keep your furniture from hitting or scuffing walls and making annoying noises. They’re easy to install, adjustable, and SO versatile. A Loving Table Book By Kimberley Whitman and Shelley Johnstone
Attention all fellow entertaining and tablescape lovers: A Loving Table came out recently and features stories from 30 women on how their mothers and grandmothers influenced and impacted their styles of entertaining. It was written by Kimberley Whitman, an entertaining expert and purveyor of all things classicly chic, and Shelley Johnstone, one of my absolute favorite interior designers. I think we all know at this point that my entertaining style is heavily influenced by my family tree, so purchasing (and loving) this book was inevitable. Loeffler Randall Satin Blush Mule
I’m sorry, I got distracted there for a moment by the most gorgeous mule, ever. I recently spotted the Fabienne Blush Bow Mule by Loeffler Randall on Jamie Beck and the way my fingers flew to my laptop to make this purchase nearly broke the sound barrier. This delicate pink satin mule has a double bow detail and 3.5-inch heel, making it ideal for formal or party dressing. I can only think of approximately 472 or so events I’ll be wearing my pair to this summer.
Scalloped Coffee Mugs
Sometimes you just need a little more charm with your morning beverage, what can I say? These scalloped coffee mugs by Southern Living honestly look like they belong in a dollhouse but I’m thrilled they are large enough for the dose of caffeine I require. Obviously these are incredible for entertaining, but affordable enough for everyday use as well. There’s also a full suite of scalloped table essentials, should you wish to build a cohesive set.
Floral Wrapping Paper
One of the quickest ways you can elevate your gift-giving game, regardless of how crafty (or not) you are, is to start making smarter choices when it comes to wrapping paper. Let’s skip the standard party aisles at big-box stores and opt for something a little more thoughtful and chic. Mille’s Spring Collection
Another collection we shouldn’t summer without is Mille. The brand is outstanding at creating pieces you can easily style up or down depending on where you’re going, time of day, etc. Their new arrivals section is essentially my current summer wardrobe. I’ve already purchased the Victoria dress in black, a stunning coral shade, and blue and white stripe—and even snagged the top version in two colors too. When you spot something you love and want to wear all the time, get it in every color! Speaking of whic, I think I need this striped top in more colors too. These are pieces you’ll always be thrilled to have waiting in your closet.
NYX Lip Liner
Would you believe my new favorite lip liner is $7? The Slide On Lip Pencil by NYX is outstanding for the price point and a great affordable way to explore different shades. Right now I’m using Nude Suede Shoes for daily wear and it’s perfect. I also love buying these more affordable products in multiples so that I’m not constantly digging for one in my purse in the morning, or running back to the bathroom to stick it in my bag before I leave for the day.
Julia Donaldson Children’s Books
How has it taken me this long to discover Julia Donaldson Children’s Books? Parents know that when it comes to reading to your children, you want to make sure you’re actually accomplishing something productive. I find so many children’s books frustratingly plotless, pointless, and unimaginative, but not these! Donaldson infuses a valuable lesson into every sweet story, and the proof is in how much Coco (and I) loves them. Our current favorite is Room on the Broom but we’re now in the process of collecting everything this author has ever written. Get ready, Liza.
Iron Supplement
I experienced anemia during my first pregnancy (which is extremely common), again with my second pregnancy and a year later my iron levels are still not what they should be. If you’re feeling perpetually sluggish, you might want to ask your doctor if your iron levels are to blame. After I started taking this iron supplement—one that specifically doesn’t negatively impact your gut—I felt like a completely revived person. My energy levels are thankfully back to where they need to be.

Did I make fun of my husband for becoming “that guy” with a standing desk obsession? Yes.
