Meal Train
Our family welcomed its newest member when my cousin recently gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. My sister-in-law came up with the ingenious idea to circulate a Meal Train among friends and family members as a way to lend a hand and show our love to the new parents. Having keen memories of what new motherhood is like, I immediately jumped on board and knew I needed to share this amazing website with all of you. The gist of it is this: You invite everyone to the Meal Train, and people can sign up to bring them dinner one night, or if they don’t live locally (or aren’t the cooking type), they can give a gift card to the recipients for a local delivery service. It’s such a thoughtful way to show love in a way that’s actually HUGELY helpful to new parents.

Want more space in your closet and also maybe to feel like your home is from a spy movie? The Closet Pull-Down Rod is designed to utilize the vertical space in your closet while also leaving you with easy access to whatever you’ve put up there, whenever you like. I discovered this glorious contraption when exploring the master closet in our new house. The previous owners installed built-ins that go all the way up to the (very high) ceilings and while I’m tall, I’d have to be Shaquille O’Neal to reach the upper closet rod without help. Luckily, the previous owners of our home wanted none of this nonsense with ladders and whathaveyou, no no. They said, we want a closet that has MAGIC LIMBS, okay?
Filoro Cashmere Lounge Sets
I think at this point all I need to say is cashmere lounge set and I have your attention, don’t I? I recently bought this textured half zip set in two colors (smoke and pink!) and it’s one of the smartest purchases I’ve made in awhile. Loungewear doesn’t have to feel anything less than luxurious, and this brand proves it time and time again (at a much more attainable price point than comparable cashmere).
Veja Sneakers
I wore these perfect fall sneakers in last week’s Fair Isle sweater post and was delighted to see that you were all as in love with them as I am. It’s the suede details that make these Veja beauties the ultimate essential sneaker for fall. Personally, I just love the caramel-colored suede, but if you’re in the market for a fresh pair this season, check out the olive suede versions as well. Delish.
Aerin’s Ambrette De Noir
This is your new fall scent, end of story. You are welcome, I am happy to have saved you the trouble. With notes of rose, white peony, and tonka, this floral amber scent is going to delight you all season long, and then some. I was really hoping Apple’s latest iOS release would include a smell function, but alas, you just have to take my word for it on this one. Just know that Aerin scents never miss the mark. I will be wearing this all fall and winter. IT’S JUST SO GOOD.
Coatigan
Last week I posted about a head-to-toe Ann Taylor look that I love, and the star of the whole ensemble is this coatigan. It’s such a smart piece for the changing seasons, in that it’s part cozy sweater, part beautifully shaped outerwear. It also holds that shape wonderfully as you wear it, meaning it’s a smart go-to for work, Zoom calls, grocery runs, and socially-distant walks around the block this fall.
Enola Holmes
Yes, that Holmes. Netflix just released this delightful adventure starring Millie Bobby Brown as Enola Holmes, sister of Sherlock and a genius in her own right. It also stars Helena Bonham Carter (legend) and Henry Cavill (offensively beautiful man) and is the perfect pick for your next movie night. Or movie morning. There are no rules anymore.
Sezane Knitwear
It is officially sweater season which means it is officially Sezane sweater season because nobody makes a sweater quite like Sezane. THESE ARE FACTS. I just ordered this beauty right here but you’d also really be missing out if you didn’t check out the entire collection! Each one is a true masterpiece. Sometimes when I’m sick of Netflix I just curl up on the couch and scroll through their online offerings, drinking tea and softly sobbing.
Best Places To See Fall Foliage
Leaf peeping is a thing because there are LEAVES TO PEEP. I love this list for autumn road trip inspo, and I was delighted to see Wisconsin made the lineup. I can personally confirm that my midwestern neck of the literal woods turns into an idyllic fall postcard for the entire month of October. MUD WTR
Listen, me personally? I’m not letting go of my coffee any time soon. Indeed you’d have to pry it out of my cold dead hands. However, if you’re someone who finds coffee has a jittery or unwanted effect on you, Mud/Wtr might be worth a try. It’s a coffee alternative with 1/7th the caffeine of standard morning brews, and it’s packed with ingredients known to provide natural energy. Also saying you drink mud water just makes you sound kind of badass.

Over seven thousand reviewers are pleased as punch with these affordable beauties, and I’m delighted to join their club. Now it’s just a question of which color to order. So. Many. Good. Options.

This might be my favorite Monday Memo this year! Seriously though, are you secretly listening in (Alexa…?)?? Cuz I’ve been eyeballing that Filoro lounge set since I saw Eva Amurri’s post in the hot pink number, those Veja sneakers have snuck into my dreams lately, and Enola Holmes is on my queue for when baby goes to sleep tonight. I’d say stop being so creepy, Mary, but I’m totally okay if you read my mind and act as the universe encouraging me towards my sartorial and leisure destinies. 🙂 PS: Thank you for the details on the closet drop down rod. It’s just the nudge I need towards having our walk-in closet finally remodeled along with installing these genius contraptions!
