Fall Favorites From Ann Taylor

Here, I’m in a head-to-toe Ann Taylor look that’s accomplishing two things at once: First, it’s a perfect fall workwear ensemble, no question. Coordinated, chic, with notes of fall cozy that aren’t so casual that they’re unprofessional. And second, each item I’m wearing is actually a fantastic separate that you can also translate into literally countless fall looks for both work and weekends. So let’s take a closer look, shall we?
First, the caramel-hued chunky knit sweater you saw above. In fact, it’s actually a coatigan which is just a fun word to say out loud, in an ideal autumn shade called Toffee Nut which honestly sounds delicious. I love this blend of shape and functionality for fall, and since it also comes in black, I honestly think we’d all be wise to invest in both colors—such is the timelessness of this piece.

Animal Print High Waist Pencil Skirt
Complete the Look
Underneath, I’ve paired an absolutely essential elbow sleeve turtleneck that I’ll only wear 8,000 times this fall with a high waisted animal print pencil skirt. I love this skirt as a cure for bottom-half boredom that can often arise from day after day of solid colored skirts and trousers. Best part? It’s also super stretchy.
Did you notice the matching headband? Of course you did, because it’s so perfect. And, I’ve also completed the overall look with a pair of pearl drop earrings that are a genius addition to your everyday accessory collection.
It’s time to start thinking about essentials for autumn, and if I were you, I’d start here. Coatigans for everyone!
