It’s Sephora sale time! This year, Sephora is gracing us with two epic sale seasons, one during Holiday, and one right now! What better time to explore new skincare or perfect any number of glam looks than while you’re at home and nobody’s looking. The sale breaks down as follows: If you’re a Rouge member, your sale window is now through 5/1 and you can get 20% off. If you're a VIB member, your sale window is 4/21-4/29 and you get 15% off. If you’re an Insider, your sale period runs from 4/23-4/27, and you’ll get 10% off. Everyone uses the same code, SPRINGSAVE. If you need to restock favorites (I need more of my favorite bronzing wipes, eyebrow pencil and lip pencil) or if you have a Sephora cart full of things you've been wanting to try (like this cult-favorite lip balm!), now is the perfect time to complete your checkout!

Obviously these days, comfort is king, and that extends to shoes. Birdies are the ideal work-from-home footwear because they’re basically slippers on the inside, and outdoor-appropriate shoes on the outside. They’re a marvel of modern footwear and I recently ordered these and these, and look forward to a very comfortable spring south of my ankles.

Sometimes amazing creativity can come out of solemn times. I recently had the huge pleasure of joining Katie Rodgers of @paperfasion in a “creative duet” that you may have seen here on my Instagram. I played a song (The Prayer) on the piano which she then used to inspire a painting. You can see the side-by-side video of our efforts here. Katie began this series of creative duets a few weeks ago, working with many different artists, as a fun way of encouraging people to enjoy creative pursuits of all kinds, at all levels, especially during these trying times. Whether you've been thinking of painting, needlepointing, knitting, pulling out your clarinet, making friendship bracelets, or just getting out in your driveway with sidewalk chalk, these hobbies can be so cathartic. Personally, I’m getting completely lost in Etsy’s DIY craft projects that are endless sources of inspiration.

I was thrilled when my friend Eva Amurri invited me to be a guest blogger on her site, Happily Eva After, during her maternity leave. Hers is a site and voice I really admire, so I was honored that she asked me to share my top tips for working moms with newborns—basically all of the life hacks that helped me survive Colette's first six months of life. These are helpful whether you’re a mom who’s taking maternity leave or not, and many of my best pieces of advice last long after your kiddo is past the baby stage. Take a read here if you haven't already and then immediately get lost in all of the amazing content Eva provides across her site!

Recently, my skin has been looking super dull. Chalk it up to a new environment, stress (obviously), and sleeping less given that, like so many others, I’m currently working full-time with no childcare. To remedy the situation, I finally ordered this microdermabrasion device after seeing others rave about it like crazy. Breaking news: they were right. It’s a personal microdermabrasion device (that’s on sale), and in four minutes a day, it exfoliates and removes impurities that cause all sorts of unwanted skin issues. It works incredibly well; I am so glad I listened to the rave reviews. If you're someone whose missing regular facials or is simply just seeing external stressors show up on your face like I am, I highly recommend giving this product a try.

I wore this super colorful cardigan recently on my Instagram story, and got so many questions about it I thought I’d include it for you here. If you can believe it, it’s even MORE vibrant in person, and it’s the perfect throw-on, cozy moment, for socially distant days. I can tell you, my mood is amplified tenfold when wearing it!

If part of your quarantine plan has been major organizing, you’ll want to look into The Container Store’s current sale offerings. There are so many categories with huge discounts. Personally, we’re planning a major pantry reorg, and since I’ve absolutely LOVED the Elfa systems in some of our NYC closets, we’re going to go the same route for the pantry while it’s 30% off! There are so many incredible options and solutions—and speaking from experience, you can always rely on top-notch quality from The Container Store.

If you recently perused my blog post detailing exactly how I achieve an at-home gel manicure, be sure to watch the tutorial video I recently published on instagram! It contains lots of additional tips and tricks for achieving the perfect long-lasting nails at home. One trick in particular that was surprising to some is that I always recommend doing one entire hand at a time when doing your own nails. That way, if you make a mistake and need to grab a nail file or cotton pad with acetone to correct it, your working hand is free to do so without wet nails. If my hand that’s doing the work has wet polish on it, I risk screwing up that hand. Check out the full video here!
