This probably warrants a longer, dedicated post, but if you follow me on
instagram stories where you often see peeks of our NYC apartment, you know that I’m a big fan of indoor plants. I’m completely obsessed with bringing greens into a space whenever and wherever possible because from an aesthetic perspective, they can absolutely transform a room. If you don’t have a particularly green thumb and are worried about upkeep, try one of the following four great houseplants that are nearly impossible to kill:
- ZZ plants
- Snake plants
- Dracaena Marginata
- Monstera stems
These plants don’t need much light, and have survived over three weeks without water (while we were traveling) and didn’t wilt in the slightest. The last on this list—monstera stems—are large beautiful leaves cut from monstera plants that I love to keep in vases around the house. If you check out the
post on my home office here, you’ll see all four types of plants including a monstera stem placed on my desk next to the vase of red roses. While monstera stems are not a full plant, I include them in this list because they’re super inexpensive (practically every plant store or corner florist in NYC has them) and they last a crazy long time—often as long as two or three months.
