    Brunch With Babs Fall Tips

If you’re not following Brunch With Babs on Instagram, close the Monday Memo, pull up Instagram and remedy that. Not only is Babs the self-proclaimed “Internet mom you didn’t know you needed” but she’s got recipes and home hacks that have changed the way I live my life. Two recent videos she’s shared have already been adopted in our home: pumpkin brie with homemade pumpkin butter recipe and this pumpkin carving hack. (WOW, I’ve been doing Halloween wrong my whole life!)

    Kouboo Home Decor

It’s always good to refresh your resources for home decor items because it’s easy to get into a rut checking the same sites over and over again. I’m currently finishing up the redecoration of our sunroom and stumbled upon Kouboo when desperately trying to find new sources for wicker and rattan pieces. This site is incredible for perking up the outdoor, outdoor-adjacent or outdoor-inspired areas of your home, particularly if you love rattan and wicker. Their prices are reasonable and the designs are beautiful without feeling overly trendy. How gorgeous is this mirror?

    Defend Ukraine: Resources To Support

The majority of today’s post was prepared before the harrowing events of the last several days in Ukraine. Like many of you, we have watched on in horror, sickened by the unprovoked Russian aggression and inspired by the strength of the Ukrainian people in equal measure. Please consider joining us in donating to organizations instrumental in the battle to defend Ukraine here or consider contributing to humanitarian efforts at the borders here.

    List of Great Children’s Books

A recent Instagram rant about children’s books (and how terrible many of them are) led to a comments section FULL of favorites. My Dry Shampoo Hack For Extending Your Blowout

I’ve shared this dry shampoo trick before in a lengthier post and I’ve also divulged this on Instagram many times. And yet, years later, I still get bombarded with questions to reshare, so I finally made a Reel showing you the stupidly easy yet highly-effective way I extend the lifespan of my blowouts. And, you probably already have everything you need at home. Basically, just apply dry shampoo immediately after you blow-dry your clean hair. Don’t wait until the grease arrives, prevent it by applying right away, before oil has a chance to haunt your strands! I notice a BIG…

    Upholstery Advice Article

Right now, we’re planning several decorating projects around the house, and anyone who’s done this before knows there’s almost TOO MUCH information out there. That’s why I appreciated finding this article from Frederic magazine. The upholstery advice contained therein is incredibly practical and helpful, particularly for those of us who love antiques. I’m planning to reupholster quite a few pieces in the future and the article’s advice on fabric choices, yardage, and how to do to a “spring test” was an excellent resource, one that made me feel excited rather than overwhelmed.

    Keystone Habits

Have you heard of this? It’s a habit-forming strategy that involves a sort of habit springboard every day. One small habit trains your brain to incorporate more good habits throughout the day, and naturally, this comes with a lovely boost that you get from actually incorporating new practices into your day-to-day. I love this approach, particularly as we head into the stress and packed schedules of the holidays, and who doesn’t love the feeling of accomplishment that comes with achieving goals?

    The Kissing Hand Children’s Book

If your children are experiencing separation anxiety around going to school, playdates, daycare, etc., The Kissing Hand is the absolute sweetest, most comforting children’s book. It’s been on Coco’s must-read list every night before bed for the past several weeks and now, anytime she goes somewhere without me, we make “kissing hands” to take with us. I think it’s helping us both equally, actually.
