    Banana Bread Pancakes

I mean sure, you can make basic pancakes if you want to, but why on earth would you when THESE EXIST? These vegan banana bread pancakes are breakfast dessert. There, I said it. And I’ve eaten it. And you should, too. They’re made with ingredients you’re likely to already have at home, so don’t let the vegan-ness scare you. *Adds bananas to grocery list.*

Halfbaked Harvest’s Blueberry Lemon Thyme Cake

I am going to bake this tonight because I am STILL trying to make a dent in the accidental three bags of lemons I bought. It’s a long story, but who doesn’t love citrus amiright ? I also just acquired (on purpose) an entire crate of fresh, local blueberries. This is the perfect recipe to unite the two! Tune into my instagram stories to watch the drama unfold.

    Lemon Bars

Hey, you know when you accidentally order a quantity of lemons you’d typically only need if you were running a roadside stand of some kind? Whelp, last week the grocery store fulfilled my online order with three BAGS of lemons instead of three individual lemons, so I’ve been looking for good ways to use up about 20x more lemons than I need. These scrumptious looking lemon bars are exactly the inspiration I was hoping for. But honestly, let’s just put meringue on everything.

    Mocktail Recipe

Does anyone else love a mocktail? I do! Especially when you spike that mocktail with vodka. Especially now, as the summer is shaping up to be a hot one, the dehydrating effects of alcohol are even less welcome than ever. Also, if you’re currently pregnant or nursing, you absolutely deserve a tasty drink in this heat. If you need a delightful mocktail for summertime sipping, might I refer you to this one that’s packed with flavor? Yes, thank you.

Hungry? You’re about to be. I recently found myself completely engrossed in Quin’s recipes, she’s the super talented creator of ButterBeReady. What am I talking about? Allow me to explain via these lemon sweet rolls or perhaps this challah bread pudding. Yeah, now you understand. On the savory side, the first recipe of hers on my list is a curry coconut collard greens dish with chickpeas and potatoes which I will be making tonight on instastories. See you there.

While I highly encourage you to support local businesses by taking advantage of their takeout offerings as much as possible, we’re all doing a lot more cooking and baking these days, so I thought it would be fun to take a stab at this list. Beginning with bananas foster omggggggg….

    Baking Gold

I’m baking, you’re baking, everyone’s baking! If you’re feeling like you need to add some creativity and skill to your mix, pun definitely intended, Baking Gold by pastry chef Jami Curl is genius. The book is based on the idea that you can be endlessly, culinarily creative with just three doughs, two batters, and one “magic mix.” Also this book relies heavily on the use of sprinkles and decoration, so… I’m sold?
