I know it’s hot out, but remember shoes with toes? Aren’t they fun? If you’re working on your fall wardrobe (or at least moodboarding it), know that Everlane’s monumentally perfect Modern Loafers are currently 40% off! There’s a reason they made it on my ultimate list of the best flats on the planet. They come in a ton of classic colors that blend easily into your professional or casual wardrobe. Also good to know—these run narrow, and it can be smart to size up by ½. If you’re a fan of Everlane shoes (lol who isn’t? SHOW YOURSELF), their Modern Point and Modern Penny Loafer styles are also on major sale.
In very very exciting news for pregnant women, Hatch and J.Crew have collaborated on maternity workwear (and everywhere-wear) and it’s stunning. There are such beautifully structured clothes for maternity days and well beyond—that’s kind of Hatch’s whole thing—so investing in these pieces for your pregnancy isn’t in any way limiting you to only wear them during pregnancy. They’re an incredibly smart style investment, and because they’re J.Crew, too, you can expect the classic silhouettes, tones, and prints you’ve always loved, just upgraded. I’m buying everything.
I’ll be honest, new formulas frighten me. I like the formulas I know, love, and use all the time, thankyouverymuch. So when I heard Laura Mercier was reformulating their cult favorite product, I was a bit (read: VERY) concerned. Turns out, I shouldn’t have been. The reformulation is phenomenal, and took place because the sunscreens in the old product were chalky, making medium and deeper shades difficult to create, so this overhaul was necessary. New shades have been added to the line, as well as lighter SPF options, too (with increased SPF coverage now at SPF 30). I’ve used the new formula, I don’t even miss the old one, and I’m confident you’ll feel the same. Check the recent reviews, everyone is still obsessed. Also, take note that they’ve made natural and illuminating formulations, and while I love both, I’ve personally been using the illuminating formula and absolutely love it. It gives the most beautiful, subtle glow without making me look like I’ve been glitter-bombed.
I’ve shared how much I love tote bag inserts before, but if you have been looking for a smaller version for everyday handbags, look no further. This (very affordable) option will fit in your smaller bags and keep them from looking like they’ve been shaken like a snow globe every time you get out of a cab.
I know what you’re thinking: “Um, Mary, 2010 called, they want their lip balm back.” And you know what? I don’t care. I recently received one of these EOS lip balms in a gift bag and I re-fell so deeply in love that I ordered this multi-pack on Amazon. Why did I ever stop using these? So hydrating and weirdly satisfying to apply. Sometimes oldies are also serious goodies.
Wow, I was not expecting to fall head over heels for a faux leather coat this fall, but here we are! This jaw-dropping trench by A.W.A.K.E. MODE is made of heavyweight faux leather and has contrast stitching, but just look at how buttery it looks! It’s giving me 70s spy vibes and I like it. Bonus: The color is called “Gingerbread” which is superior to pumpkin spice in every way possible don’t @ me. Or @ me, it’s fine—I love talking about baked goods
Anyone who’s been doing any kind of trendspotting at all will know that croc-embossed is the new black for the coming season. I absolutely love this Little Liffner bag (it’s a wristlet!) and I’m really looking forward to seeing how this trend comes to life across the board. If you’re into croc-embossing, or maybe you just want to shop gorgeous accessories for awhile, I dunno, check out a whole host of croc-embossed styles for fall here.
I just had the chance to try Thrive Market, and I’m seriously impressed/newly obsessed. If you haven’t heard of it or seen one of its many subway ads, Thrive Market is a site that supplies you with healthy, organic, diet-specific food brands at wholesale process, delivered to your door. Meaning if you prefer pasta that’s made out of chickpeas or granola that’s grain-free, they’ve got you. Their prices are amazing and there are always fun goodies and samples to try every time you shop. There’s an annual membership fee ($59.95), and shipping is free on all orders over $49. If you’re dissatisfied with your access to organic and diet specific foods (and treats!) this is a no-brainer.
