I’ve heard about Zeel’s on-demand, in-home massages for awhile, but I just tried them for myself over the past few months and am OBSESSED BEYOND WORDS. Zeel’s massages are very reasonably priced—they’re less than the price of many massages in NYC and they come to you (amazing!!). They have highly qualified top-notch massage therapists capable of all sorts of techniques, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Sports and Sleep. The last one is new to me but how great does that sound?! You’re having trouble sleeping so you get someone to come over and give you a massage that’s specifically designed to relax and lull you into a deep sleep?! Sign me up. When I first tried Zeel, I wanted someone specifically trained and highly experienced in prenatal/maternity massage and not only did they have one, but they had one available same-day. I’m not kidding, it was the best massage OF MY LIFE. And I’ve had many a top-notch massage. My therapist Elizabeth brought the bed (with special maternity cushions to accommodate the bump so I could still lie flat on my stomach), relaxation music, essential oils—the whole nine yards. And, since I loved her so much, I was able to request her for my subsequent massages, so I always know what I’m getting. My living room was transformed into a spa oasis for 90 minutes and I am officially obsessed with this service. It’s available in major cities nationwide, so click here to look them up and book one because I’M TELLING YOU IT WILL BE THE BEST THING YOU DO THIS WEEK/MONTH/YEAR.Use code MaryOrton for $20 off your first massage!!
It might be the “nesting phase” kicking in, but I’m on a major cleaning/organizing spree. This weekend I took a page from Marie Kondo’s book (that or I was just overwhelmed by the sheer amount of product about to cave in on me) and did a massive reorganization of my beauty closet, using these stacking containers. They are truly amazing. You can choose the sizes you need and stack them together in any configuration that fits your space. They’re absolutely brilliant, easy to use, easy to stack and now my collection no longer feels like it’s on the verge of explosion. Couldn’t be happier.
In addition to ordering these stacking drawers for the re-organization of my beauty and skincare products, I also ordered these cute chalk board labels for the drawers because they’re functional and adorable. For a cool $6.99, you get 90 reusable labels PLUS the chalk board pen. Aside from labeling my new drawers, I also love the other uses showcased on the product page and 100% plan to use them for labeling cheese boards when entertaining this summer (because ya know it’s brie, but I might want you to know something else about it that’s fancy). These are such a cute way to organize and label anything in any room of your home.
If you missed last week’s post on the top 15 beauty products everyone will die without, click here to check it out because it’s a GOOD ONE. I shared a lip product on instastories (this one) and mentioned that if Neutrogena ever discontinued it, my life would be officially over. This got me wondering about the top products you can’t live without, so I did a handy-dandy instastory poll and the top 15 products (the ones that were shared by literally hundreds of you) made this list. It was no surprise that many of you are obsessed with this CC cream which I’ve been hearing rave reviews about for years. Needless to say, you influenced me to finally order some and give it a try and WOW WERE YOU RIGHT. Ya’ll never let me down. Here are my thoughts after using it over the past week:The It Cosmetics CC Cream comes in regular, illumination, and oil-free matte versions. I chose to try the regular and illumination options, as I feared the oil-free matte would be too drying. While I love the idea of the illumination option in theory, I found after using that it has just a little too much shimmery/highlighter effect. I prefer to keep that extra glow just on the high points of the face (tops of cheekbones, bridge of nose, etc.) not everywhere—but to each her own (I know tons of people love it). The regular option was the real winner for me. It has amazing coverage without feeling heavy. Also, it’s essentially a wonder product, being a foundation, SPF 50+ sunscreen, brightening color corrector, hydrating serum, primer, concealer, and moisturizing day cream IN ONE. I don’t know how it’s possible, but I’m here to testify that it really does ALL these things. When I washed my face at the end of the day (I first marveled at the fact that the CC Cream still looked as fresh as the moment I put it on) but also noticed after removing all my makeup that my skin looked like I had just finished some sort of hydration/glow-up mask. I mean, how great is it to basically skip six steps in your morning routine (especially in the summer)?! This product is about to be given a permanent place on my list of all-time favorite Beauty Products.
In this recent post of mine rounding up recent favorites from Ann Taylor, the most-clicked-on dress aside from the dress I was wearing was this one. Color me not at all surprised. It’s such a great price point, a gorgeous hue and super wearable—plus it comes in petite, regular and tall sizing. And, if you’re going to buy the dress, how do you say no to these objectively perfect sandals shown with it? You just don’t. The combination of that muted olive green with cognac brown is drool-worthy.
Yeah, that whole digging around in my tote thing? I’m over it. I recently got this tote organizer to secure my belongings and my sanity (especially when enjoying this fab Everlane tote that I shared recently). Undoubtedly, it has become even more handy when wanting to convert my favorite totes into diaper bags, but regardless of whether your organization needs are baby-induced or not, I love that this tote organizer keeps your things in place AND makes swapping bags SO much easier. Also, it comes in tons of other colors, too, so will blend in with any color lining!
When you see a product on Nordstrom that has nearly 3K 5-star reviews and is only $45, you don’t ask questions. You just add to cart. If you’re looking for the comfiest wear-everywhere dress, this is it. Also can we talk about these endless color options?
Hey, here’s something that’s not cute: You know when you bake or grill or roast marshmallows or do any of the fun summer-y, campfire-y things and accidentally torch yourself? Yeah, let’s stop doing that. These gloves protect your forearms, not just your hands, and are 100% Kevlar with 932°F heat resistance. Seriously look at those reviews. They will protect your paws from all of the fun outdoorsy cooking you’ll get into this season, pain-free. Also, I feel like they should just replace my oven mitts in general. Why must we be restricted to early 20th century creations that give us no finger dexterity in the over or on the stove top?
My fan-girl status of all things Elemis is pretty well cemented at this point (my face is currently slathered in this holy-grail facial oil, as per usual) but I recently fell in love with yet another product from the brand. This instant refreshing gel is amazing for soreness, aka a long day at the office in heels. Or, in my current case, seven months pregnant and sore literally everywhere. It revitalizes and revives your sore muscles, by combining arnica, birch and witch hazel, with cooling camphor and menthol. So basically all the good things. I also love that the product states it’s specifically safe to use during pregnancy. Relaxation and soreness relief without a two hour internet research project. Elemis, you’re my hero.
