Monday Memo No. 180
My favorite single-serving wine, viral mixing bowls, and the trousers I now own in four colors.
If you’re pulling out your winter knits for the season and finding that they’re looking a little less than fresh, this fabric shaver is a must. It’s rechargeable and quickly removes all of the fuzz, lint and pilling. This fabric shaver is also strong enough to tackle sturdier fabrics like coats, linens, or even car cushions. It’s definitely the quickest (and most cost-effective) way to breathe new life into your fading knits and unlike your fabric shavers of yore, it's rechargable!
I have something to admit: I own these trousers from Favorite Daughter in four different colors. You might think I have a problem, but I believe I have four solutions because the fit on these pants is absolutely incredible. The pleating is so flattering and the coffee-colored satin drape is to die for. These pants can be styled in a million different ways, but most recently, I wore them on Saturday night with this Madewell top and this tweed jacket from Veronica Beard.
Things I Bought And Liked recently inspired me to find a strap for my AirPods in an attempt keep from constantly losing them (something I do 3-5 times a day). I found these beaded lanyards that can affix to any phone or camera or keychain and (obviously) opted for the pearl option. Now, my airpods can be easily found at the bottom of a tote or can be worn around my wrist when necessary.
We recently received this tea party game as a gift from my sister-in-law and it has QUICKLY become my girls’ favorite. Appropriate for ages three and up, the game provides all of the elements of a tea party with none of the breakable china. The sturdy cardboard pieces are durable and the illustrations are adorable. As someone who appreciates the art of a beautifully-set table, I am proud that my girls are so taken with this one. Now, if I can just get Gigi to say “tablescape” as her first word, my work here will be done.
You don’t have to be a sommelier to talk about wine with knowledge (i.e. “I know I’d like another glass”). But when it comes to actually learning which cheese goes well with which wine, this deck of wine and cheese pairings by Meg Quinn is here to the rescue. The deck includes fifty recipe cards with wine varietals and the cheese or cheese-based appetizers that complement them. If you have plans to entertain this holiday season or are looking for a dynamite hostess gift, this deck is a must!
The holiday season is right around the corner and my favorite Lake Pajamas has come out swinging with the CUTEST holiday collection. Whether it’s matching pajama sets or cozy robes, Lake’s holiday shop is full of festive finds that also just happen to be the softest pajamas you'll ever feel. I got a bunch of styles for the season and our favorite pattern is definitely this limited edition nutcracker print. Order now and get 10% off with the code MOxLAKE.
Last week I posted this head-to-toe Tyler Böe outfit which is somehow as comfortable as it is chic. But, since they drop new styles weekly, I hadn't yet stumbled upon this black and white Sherpa coat which I needed to order immediately. The coat has all of that delicious sherpa coziness but feels slightly more elevated thanks to the black button closures and faux suede piping.
Whether it’s a structured blazer or a wide-leg pant, corduroy is a cold-weather classic and it’s having a major moment this season. I have an ivory colored corduroy baseball cap that I get asked about just about every time I leave the house. It’s years old, but this adorable corduroy cap from Nordstrom is nearly identical and also comes in brown, olive and navy.
The word “activewear” implies you’re dressing for some sort of strenuous sport or physical exercise. But the activewear styles from Addison Bay are so polished, you could just as easily be dressed for a lunch date or trip to the pumpkin patch. I love their pullovers — especially this striped quarter-zip and this classic pullover, available in SEVENTEEN different shades.
An open bottle of wine doesn't last long, but the pain of having to dump a bottle you didn't finish lasts forever. That’s why I’m obsessed with these single serving wines from Wander and Ivy. They’ve taken premium wines and portioned them in 6.3 oz bottles so you’ll never waste another drop. I made Wander and Ivy my first glass of wine post baby (which you can watch here) but my obsession with this brand has only intensified since that first sip. Highly recommend ordering or finding at a local liquor store!
We recently got the sweetest children’s book, The Camper and The Counselor, which has quickly become my daughters' favorite bedtime book. It tells the heartfelt story of a camper’s first summer away from home and it not only makes me nostalgic for my own camp days, it makes me crazy excited for my girls going to camp. The engaging story, the illustrations and my own delight must be rubbing off, because my two-year-old has already asked when she can go to summer camp. Give me about a decade to emotionally prepare, baby girl.
At one point in the process of redecorating the girls’ room, I worried it wouldn’t be finished before they finished high school. But, somehow the backorders and delays have passed and the end is in sight! As part of this whole redo, we transitioned the girls to twin beds (which obviously made me sob) and we went with these box spring bed bases from Amazon. They are durable, lightweight and amazingly easy to put together.
Plaids, lace, tulle, sequins, taffeta — they’ve all been invited to Hill House’s beautiful Holiday Collection. There are so many sweet party dresses and sweaters and even puffer jackets, but I continued our annual tradition of ordering a red tartan dress for myself and matching nap dresses for the girls. Our holiday dresses arrived early, so you can see us try them on here.
Every year, I find myself drooling over these GORGEOUS needlepoint Bauble Stockings that are hand-stitched by a community of single moms in Haiti. The brand’s founder Kate Stice Stewart had a family tradition in which the “Bauble Stocking” was kept as the final Christmas surprise and contained jewelry, concert tickets or a clue to find the final Christmas present. Not only is it an incredibly special family tradition, but they make perfect holiday décor, too. These stockings are high-quality pieces that you’ll have forever and 5% profit of each sale goes back to the Haitian community where they’re produced. I also just discovered these engravable tags that can be added to any Bauble Stocking so it looks like my collection will be growing.
I recently added these 327 sneakers to my collection of New Balances and they’re an instant favorite. The design is a little bit throwback, a little bit modern and a whole lotta comfortable. I especially love this earthy brown colorway that seems to match everything I wear these days. They’re also available in a rusty orange and Kelly green.
Back to school also means back to cold and flu season. I’m stocking up on these immune-support lollipops from Beekeeper’s Naturals which is my latest, greatest discovery for little ones. These green apple-flavored pops are not as “spicy” as other cough drops, but still contain propolis, vitamin D and zinc for immune health and wildflower honey to soothe scratchy throats. My girls think these throat-soothing lollipops are candy, and I'm happy to let them believe this.
You know when you see something shared online too many times and it starts to turn you off? That was the case with these viral mixing bowls, but I finally succombed and am pleased to report that they are magnificent. The set includes five stainless steel mixing bowls with silicone non-slip bottoms and BPA free lids with three grater attachments. These will be HEAVY HITTERS throughout the holiday season, so stock up now. They would also make a great housewarming gift!

Very useful suggestions, as always! A re-chargable fabric shaver is brilliant, especially this time of year.
I always like to read something valuable, thank you
