My Desert Island Hair Volumizing Products
I’ve been asked a few times now about the volumizers I use on my hair. Assuming this desert island has electricity, this is my process: Towel dry hair. Then apply this volumizing tonic and phomollient (both from AVEDA) through the roots of damp hair. Blow dry in the opposite direction/upside down. Once hair is dry, apply this Living Proof dry shampoo through roots and style with either hot rollers or my Dyson Airwrap. Personally, I don’t find the dry shampoo makes a very big difference in the volume, but it helps lengthen the lifespan of my blowout — especially if you apply it on freshly cleaned hair.
Smythson Card Case Wallet
As some of you may remember, I ditched my mammoth wallet years ago for this Saint Laurent card case and have never gone back. I love having everything in one compact little card case that’s small enough to be thrown in my tiniest clutch or a side pocket of my largest tote. The only way I could conceive of it being improved upon is with the addition of a top zipper which is exactly what this Smythson one offers. The zipper pocket is a great add for coins or small items that need protection without overstuffing the case.
Acrylic Potty Step
With children come deep feelings of joy but also, lots of colorful, plastic toys that ruin your vibe. And, when those toys (and shoes and games and snack traps) don’t go with the décor we so lovingly picked out, we must find solutions. Repetto Cut-Out Flats
Industry insiders know that no one does flats better than Repetto and I think these beauties — which come in black and tan — are such a chic alternative to the slingback. There are few things I love more than a classic slingback in the springtime but that single strap around the back of the foot can sometimes make your Achilles ache after a few hours (not to mention, give you a blister). Coffee Table Games
The Swedish-based design company PRINTWORKS created a series of classic games disguised as coffee table books. They’re not only gorgeous, they’re totally functional. My personal favorite is backgammon, but I wouldn’t be opposed to collecting them all. Such a great way to keep these fun items accessible instead of tucking away your favorite games in a cabinet!
Dana Rebecca Jewelry
Dana Rebecca Designs is a fine jewelry company that makes gorgeous everyday pieces. A scroll through the collection left me with too many favorites to count, but I narrowed it down to a few standouts: this teardrop ring, these pear teardrop hoops and the gold initial charm which would make a very sweet, personalized gift.
Deluxe Cup Holder
You may never have heard the word deluxe in conjunction with a cup holder, but there’s no other way to describe this cup holder that was recently recommended by @TheBuyGuide. The cup holders expand to fit most cups and mugs and insulating foam keeps your beverages hot or cold longer. The holder is durable, washable, and the perfect addition to your car or couch.

I’ve never asked someone IRL what blush they’re wearing… at least not until last week. I was standing outside of a restaurant and simply *had* to ask the women next to me how she achieved the most perfect, glowy flush of color on her cheeks. Lo and behold, she pulled this on-the-go blush from Pixie out of her bag and I ordered it immediately. Don’t be intimidated by the dark pink ruby shade you see in the tube. This hydrating formula looks amazing on (cheeks AND lips).

You can add them to your work out for some extra weight, or wear them throughout the workday to tone your arms while just… living your life. They’re amazing and I wish I’d bought them sooner.

This striped tee from AYR stopped me in my tracks. The wide stripe, the oversized fit, the perfectly-tucked styling.
