Election day is tomorrow! You’ve no doubt been sufficiently bashed over the head with election reminders, but in case you’re just coming out of a coma and you’re still uncertain as to where you vote or how to physically cast your ballot, you can find all the information you need here. Remember, while many of us have voted early, tomorrow is the LAST DAY to vote AT ALL. Don’t miss your opportunity to exercise this incredibly important right!
Baby Number Two!
If you missed the announcement, Rich and I are thrilled to share that we are expecting baby #2! I’m currently in my 19th week and we are so excited to grow our little family. Colette’s not sure about sharing the throne, but we’re hoping the idea grows on her…

Corduroy Maxi Vest
I’m a little embarrassed that I didn’t know I needed a corduroy maxi vest until I was today years old. I recently wore a somewhat similar long wool camel vest and had to disappoint approximately all of you via DM to let you know that it was an older style and sold out. This however is a wonderful and current substitute that extends the capabilities of your entire wardrobe by being super versatile, and when properly cared for will last you year after year.
Career Podcasts
If you love a good podcast and also mayyyybe feel a little stuck in your career, this Forbes list of podcasts might be just the thing to energize you. We’re always looking for new podcasts and I personally welcome any list that has taken the time to listen to the ENTIRE INTERNET so that I don’t have to. Much obliged.
Fall Beauty and Skincare Must-Haves
If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, I recently posted a massive list of my favorite new beauty finds for fall. As we head into a completely different set of skin concerns (ahem, maskne) and scent cravings for fall and winter, this list is a roadmap to a well-stocked skincare and beauty supply. Think super hydrating serums, the best concealer on the planet and a hair mask that will revive your dry ends. I’ve tested them all, and these are the products I really feel strongly about recommending. You might find a new ingredient or two in the mix to road test for yourself, too.
Layering Tank
Long live the layering tank. You know the tank of which I speak. It’s that most vital of first layers that somehow makes those cozy sweaters even cozier, mostly because you never feel an errant draft or woolen itch come up from underneat. This particular tank is unthinkably soft, comfortable, affordable, and I want all four colors.
Hair Claws
The Claw!!! Imagine I said that but like… scary. Hair claws are back and I’m not upset. This 80s and 90s mane-tamer is so effective at keeping hair out of your face, effortlessly. You can find them all over the place, but I just ordered these and let me tell you, they do the trick.
Hiccup Hack
I don’t know why, but I get constant hiccups throughout my pregnancies which is horrific because the only thing worse than being nauseous all the time is being nauseous with the hiccups. I’m not a fan. I’ve read every tip and trick you can imagine, but honestly, THIS hiccup tip is the only one that actually works. It also has the benefit of being super easy, which I appreciate.
My Favorite Designer Deal Destinations
Just an annual reminder that places like Saks Off Fifth and The Outnet exist, and now is a wonderful time of year to stalk them for very, very deep discounts on designer finds you’ll wear forever. Personally, I just grabbed this cashmere v-neck sweater and this faux fur coat. And let’s face it people, I’m not done.
The Crown
You have less than two weeks to complete any other television you were interested in watching in order to prepare yourself for the return of THE CROWN. It’s one of my all-time favorites for everything from the performances to the set design, and most certainly the style. If you’d like a dose of royal style inspiration before the new season, I suggest this outstanding Diana retrospective.
The Perfect Combat Boot
I’ve been flirting with the combat boot trend for quite awhile, but it has taken me a long time to find THE combat boot, you know? Well, friends, allow me to introduce you to THE ONE. The almond toe, the perfect laces, the chain-link detailing! This is my favorite take on the trend that isn’t SO trendy that I won’t want to look at them anymore in two months. Oh and by the way, they come in brown too so LOL GOOD LUCK PICKING ONE.
Denim Shacket
Yes, I said shacket, what of it? I recently wore this hybrid garment layered over a maxi dress, belted for some shape, and I think it worked out quite well if you don’t mind me saying so. It’s an excellent in-between weather piece that’s easy to throw on and layer with your favorite basics. Oh, and it’s casually under $30.
Microwave Pasta Device
Ummm… scuse me? What’s happening here? This pasta-making device allows you to make pasta in a MICROWAVE? I honestly don’t know if I find this sacrilegious or genius, but if it leads me to carbs in less time, I’m game. Just look at those reviews.
Light Exercise For Sleep
We all know the countless benefits of getting in exercise, but my goodness you had me at “better sleep.” This is a smart list of at-home exercises for anyone having trouble sleeping these days, for… you know, any number of reasons ranging from the impending election to a global pandemic to maybe you heard a weird noise somewhere.
Fleece Lined Leggings
I repeat, FLEECE! LINED! LEGGINGS! Temperatures temporarily dipped into the 30s this weekend, so don’t even look at me unless you’re lined in the unmatched comfort and coziness that is fleece. These fleece-lined leggings are SO comfortable and affordable and come in tons of various colors and pocket options. I’m buying ten pairs of them. Race you to checkout!
