Zella Activewear Review

Truth be told, I’m a practical gal when it comes to activewear. On an average day, I lean towards basic black leggings and tanks so that I don’t have to worry about creating a “look” when I just want to hustle up and get a sweat session in before the baby wakes up. If this sounds like you, check out Zella’s offerings and take great comfort in their HUGE selection of basic workout gear with insanely good reviews (these leggings are no joke) and really reasonable price tags. They have every style of activewear you could possibly want (I absolutely love this anorak, these low-rise socks and these joggers).

Activewear doesn’t get much chicer than this.

Alternatively, you may feel you want to bring a little more sartorial inspiration to your workout regimen. In which case, Zella also has TONS of super cute pieces to choose from. Allow me to introduce you to this sports bra and leggings combo that I’m wearing today. Activewear doesn’t get much chicer than this. I absolutely love how supportive the sports bra is while also being a bit longer for more coverage. To top things off (since I’m spending most of the day in air conditioning), I’m wearing this cozy Nella wrap sweatshirt. A note on their classic black leggings that have a bajillion five star reviews: THEY’RE FAB. I absolutely love them and really appreciate the ability to get such a supportive, flattering, high-quality legging at this price point. 

Bottom line: the five star reviews don’t lie. 

If you’re petite or don’t like full-length leggings, they have lots of lengths for you to choose from (including these amazing biker shorts) and they also have super popular maternity options! Personally, I preferred the regular leggings throughout my pregnancy so just bought these and went up two sizes. 

Whether you never miss the gym or prefer to keep your spandex on the couch, don’t sleep on Zella.

Their pieces never disappoint and I really appreciate a brand that has a full stable of classic staple pieces (so I can be in my boring black when I want to be) along with a fun selection of colors and prints when I want to go the extra mile (sartorially speaking, of course).

Since Zella is a Nordstrom-exclusive activewear brand, it’s worth mentioning again in this review that Nordstrom offers shoppers some pretty unique benefits. Yes, we all know you can shop for virtually everything under the sun at Nordstrom. But there are also perks you might not be aware of, such as free shipping and returns, curbside pickup (yep, you never even have to get out of your car), and The Nordy Club rewards membership. I can’t tell you the number of times the curbside pickup has absolutely SAVED me. Whether I needed a last minute hostess gift, birthday gift or pair of spanx, I pull up the Nordstrom website, filter for my store, and swing by in an hour to grab my goodies. THE BEST. (Especially in a pandemic.)
