Fleece Onesies

Colette typically sleeps in fleece onesies, so we’ve ordered pretty much every style in existence at this point. Carter’s makes a great one, but I recently discovered these from Amazon too, and love them just as much. I have tried the Hudson Bay fleece onesies, but the quality of the fabric was really poor and several even had broken zippers. Who knew one had to be so discerning when it came to fleece baby pajamas?

7 A.M. Enfant

Before you ask, I’m already looking into getting this in adult size. Recently in my Instagram stories, I asked all of the moms watching to HELP A NEWBIE OUT. I’m in the market for cold weather baby gear, and needed veteran mamas to help me cut through the noise. Thus far, the number one recommendation was this bunting by 7 A.M. Enfant that is lined with faux fur. I was also delighted to discover the wild world of stroller muffs. You better believe I bought these.

TWELVElittle Leopard Diaper Bag

Welp, diaper bags are suddenly a thing I think about now. When leaving the house with a new human who is capable of blowing out her diaper (and entire outfit) at any given moment, you need a super functional bag. Bonus points if it’s also cute. This one by TWELVElittle is adorable, super functional, and also comes in backpack form if you’re more comfortable toting the essentials (if not half the nursery) hands free. There are endless pockets (seriously I find a new one every day) and it doesn’t have an overly “diaper bag” feel, which I appreciate.

Taking Cara Babies Newborn Sleep Classes

There’s no shortage of great baby resources and books out there (I think Rich and I have officially tested them all). However, Taking Cara Babies was routinely cited by friends we trust as being their “holy grail” and now we know why. It has been incredibly helpful in getting Colette’s sleep and nap schedule under control, in addition to helping us immensely with soothing and swaddling tips and tricks. I truly can’t recommend this class highly enough to parents of newborns currently trying to make sense of it all.

It’s so nice when a product not only does what it’s supposed to do, but does it really, really well. With freezable gel packs actually built into it, this baby bottle and breastmilk cooler is brilliant for breastfeeding moms and also anyone who ever needs to keep things cool for an extended period of time. If you commute via subway with your lunch, this is perfect. (I have the polka dot option, FYI.)

Newborn Favorites

So, apparently Colette requires more stuff than her mother and she’s very serious about making this point.
