Goal Setting Check In
Somehow, six months of 2020 have gone by. I know, best not dwell on that notion for too long. But, now is a good time to check in on career goals that were set at the start of the year. Given the historic upheaval that has swept the world in the months since you might’ve set those goals, it’s probably time to re-evaluate. Mocktail Recipe

Necessary? No. Delightful because we are magpies? Yes. Lemon Bars
Hey, you know when you accidentally order a quantity of lemons you’d typically only need if you were running a roadside stand of some kind? Whelp, last week the grocery store fulfilled my online order with three BAGS of lemons instead of three individual lemons, so I’ve been looking for good ways to use up about 20x more lemons than I need. These scrumptious looking lemon bars are exactly the inspiration I was hoping for. But honestly, let’s just put meringue on everything.
Anti-Inflammatory Foods
How cool is this? Food & Wine recently published a list of anti-inflammatory foods that can be purchased at Trader Joe’s. This is both an excellent refresher course in the benefits of anti-inflammatory foods, and conveniently, it’s also a ready-to-go grocery list with helpful tips on what to look for in packaging. Plus, who doesn’t love exploring the wonders of TJs? Give me all the cruciferous veggies!

Home improvement is suddenly a much bigger deal when home is basically the only safe place to be. I can’t be the only one here who gets my best ideas in the shower. Perhaps because it’s the only time of day that I have to be completely alone with my own thoughts. I shared these smart cushions at the start of our the pandemic along with all of my work-from-home strategies here, but it’s been four months now and I want to remind everyone that you don’t have to be in constant pain while you work. Yes, I said super scrunchie. This is an oversized scrunchie that will put a smile on your face and a ponytail in your hair. Particularly exciting for those of us with longer and thicker hair, this is more than a strand-gathering device, it is an accessory. I have it in blush and if you think I haven’t been waiting for this restock so that I can snag more colors, well, you’d be wrong.
Evi Grintela
Evi Grintela is rapidly becoming one of my summer favorites. Somehow, these dresses are appropriate for any occasion you can imagine. I now own four of them, and I wear them so often—dinners, baby showers, bridal brunches, anything really! I’m not sure how a dress is both dressy and casual at the same time, but here we are. They’re a unicorn in dress format and they’re currently very on sale which we should all take advantage of!
