Monday Memo No. 174
Robes, raincoats and the final day of my jewelry collab with Monica Rich Kosann!

Tomorrow (5/2) is the FINAL DAY to shop my special collaboration with Monica Rich Kosann! I am so grateful to all of you who have already purchased one of our limited-edition Mary Charms. I hope you’re loving them as much as I do. I’m definitely biased, but I haven't taken mine off and find them to be the ideal everyday piece.
The front and back of each charm is adorned with thoughtful details, including a sparkling diamond below a space you can have your initial engraved in script or block font. The charm can be purchased on a bracelet, necklace or by itself, and is available in 18k gold and sterling silver. They make for the most meaningful Mother’s Day gifts because the quality of these heirloom pieces is truly unmatched and will last forever.
The gold is breathtaking, but the sterling silver version has been very popular, which is no surprise because Monica Rich Kosann’s sterling silver is special. Each sterling silver piece is plated with rhodium — a precious metal more expensive than gold — so the silver never tarnishes and shines as brilliantly as gold. See the full collection here and remember these unforgettable pieces are only available until tomorrow, Tuesday, May 2nd!

This wildly useful cell phone mount allows you to take Zoom call from the parking lot of your kid’s school without dropping your phone mid-meeting (because dropping your phone mid-meeting was once my favorite hobby). The suction mount adheres to your windshield super easily and securely and the adjustable clamp can fit most types of phones—even ones with loop rings or pop sockets. It’s easy to install, easy to adjust and has easily earned a co-director credit on any reel of mine taken in my parked car. I know people also love to use it to hold their phone when they are using google maps—just remember to put your phone in "do not disturb" mode if you're using this function while driving so you don't have any distracting pop-ups or notifications while on the road.

If you haven’t taken a spin through Mark & Graham recently, you need to stop what you are doing and fix that immediately. This gift guide takes all the guesswork out of Mother’s Day. Whether it’s personalized beach totes, board games or wine glasses, everything is good. I couldn’t wait, so I ordered this vegan leather organizer for myself. It has two zippered pockets for storing all of your cosmetics, toiletries and jewelry. And, all of Mark & Graham products can be monogrammed for an extra personal touch which makes a gift that much more special.

After stumbling upon some Tiktok inspiration, I decided to depart from my trusty brown and black eyemakeup and try my hand at plum (yes plum!) eyeliner. You can watch my live attempt on video here. Turns out, plum is super flattering on ALL eye colors. Brown eyes look good with literally any color, but lighter eyes have a much harder time venturing beyond brown and black color palettes. Plum actually makes blue/green/hazel eyes POP and also offers a really nice soft look. See for yourself in this plum eyeliner tutorial I made. I linked everything I used on my face, including the plum liner, here.

This top-selling Tyler Böe raincoat keeps selling out because it’s perfect. The A-line shape and sweet white piping adds brightness to any dark, rainy day. Just because you’re trudging through April showers doesn’t mean you don’t have to look chic doing it. Snag it before it sells out again!

My children are currently obsessed with these erasable markers. They come in a set of twelve bright colors that can be erased off paper so it doesn’t matter whether they color within the lines or not. Use the eraser end to clean up mistakes or create unique doodles or secret messages, like “I love you, Mom,” for instance.

Marion Parke shoes look straight off the runways of Milan, but the brand was actually founded by a Minneapolis-based podiatric surgeon in search of supportive heels that don’t sacrifice style. And these raffia flats are IT. These low-heeled slingbacks are chic but also incorporate an insole made from medical-grade foam that molds to your foot. So, whether you’re stepping into them for the style or the comfort, these flats are well worth the investment.

If you’re a caramel fan, I’m going to need to direct your attention to these absolutely INSANE vanilla butter salted caramels from Béquet Caramel. And if you’re not a caramel fan, you’re about to become one. These super soft caramels have the perfect hit of sea salt, which balances the vanilla so beautifully. The serving size is three candies, but let's not dwell on that. I can eat these like popcorn. You’ve been warned.

These super high-waist jeans from Favorite Daughter are the jeans that were recently made internet famous by Jennifer Aniston because of the super flattering effect they gave to her derrière. Since she wore them, I've seen countless Tiktokers put them to the test and the results are unanimous, they're PERFECT. While I personally can’t fit into jeans right now, I have purchased these for post-baby. Also, it should come as no surprise that these jeans are amazing because Favorite Daughter absolutely kills it in the pants category. Their Favorite Pant is… well, my absolute favorite.

I am not naturally gifted when it comes to arranging flowers, so any hack I can employ that speeds up the process is a dream in my book. So when Meg Quinn of @ainttooproudtomeg featured this foolproof centerpiece vase I knew it was made for flower-arranging fools like me. The acrylic rectangular design includes 24 holes that, when filled with flowers, instantly look like an elegant, perfectly-arranged floral centerpiece. These vases come in various heights and lengths, but they’re all durable acrylic, easy to clean and create wedding-worthy arrangements for any dinner party.

If you haven’t spent much time on TikTok lately, you might not realize it, but Frownies are having a real moment. Of course, there are endless injectables and lasers, even surgical approaches to wrinkles, but the OG recommendation (from mom) is still in the conversation because they work, at a fraction of the cost. While they’ve expanded into some organic skincare, Frownies bestseller is still the original wrinkle patch for the forehead and between the eyes and the before-and-after photos don't lie.

To your children, it may look like an alien has abducted their mother, when in reality, this LED mask is taking years off mom’s face. I’ve shared it in the past, but now that I’ve been using it for several months, I can’t rave enough. It has massively improved my skin in every possible way — noticeably fading hyperpigmentation, improving texture, overall glow, you name it. Worth the hype and every penny. Also, if you have light eyes, this particular model is amazing because it comes with optional eye guards. Other LED masks I’ve tried do not and for my light-sensitive light eyes, it is blinding to the point of being unbearable. The eye guards allow me to keep this mask by my bedside and pop the mask on every night while I read (or doom scroll) before bed.

Don’t think that woven rattan flats have distracted me from my first love: ballet flats. I’ve certainly posted about these demi flats from Margaux before which are flat out, one of my favorite flats. They are effortlessly chic and thanks to the soft leather and foam padding insole, unbelievably comfortable. However, I need to draw your attention to this new suede lilac hue for spring, which is simply TOO dreamy to ignore.

Last week, I shared my love of this floral trench coat from Walmart’s Scoop brand, but the whole spring line is worth a look. Brandon Maxwell (yes, THE Brandon Maxwell is their Creative Director) is working his magic with color and prints, and you don’t want to miss out. If I didn’t have a human renting my abdomen right now, this adorable gingham midi skirt and matching crop top would already be in my closet. Also these pants! And, if you’re interested in a matchy moment with your minis, Scoop’s girl styles use many of the same fun florals and prints.

Do you ever find that by mid-afternoon, your lips still have the pigment from applying a lip product earlier, but they're just... parched? I keep this plumping lip oil from Rodial in my bag (and car and desk) for just that moment. Not only does a blend of botanical oils hydrate dry lips, but vegan collagen and jojoba oil leaves lips visibly plumper. And, the soft pink gloss is sheer enough for layering over your favorite pigments. The code MARY15 is still active for 15% off site-wide.

It’s been what, at least five minutes since I raved about how perfect these wide leg yoga pants are from Amazon brand Promover. You definitely don’t have to enjoy or even do yoga to wear and — mark my words — love these pants. I just ordered ANOTHER pair in white for spring and summer and arghhhh, they’re just so good. They’re not thin or see-through. In fact, they feel like Lululemon quality, but they are under $30. They come in seventeen different colors, and did I mention they have pockets? Happy shopping.

MaryRuth Organics take up at least 75% of our medicine cabinet. From probiotics to vitamin C gummies to multivitamins, iron supplements, magnesium and beyond, they're just the best. Founder MaryRuth Ghiyam started the company to bring wholesome multivitamins to entire families and my entire family is thankful. Code MROORTON20 gets you 20% off everything — on their website or on Amazon. Most recently, I believe these kids' vitamin c gummies are the only thing that stood between our household and viral armageddon.

I’ve always been so enamored with Lake's actual pajamas that I’ve been sleeping (pun intended?) on their utterly perfect robes. Every single detail of this robe is, in my opinion, ideal. It is so soft and cozy, but lightweight enough that you feel comfortable wearing it around your house at all times. Fluffy terry cloth robes are great when you’re getting out of the shower, but are ultimately too bulky, heavy, and hot after 15 minutes. I throw this Lake robe on at the end of the workday and just relax (AKA chase after toddlers in comfort and luxurious softness all night). This style is made from 100% Pima cotton, features side pockets and the belt is ATTACHED because Lake understands what’s important. Unattached robe belts belong in jail.

These magnetic cable ties come in a pack of twenty because there are at least that many uses for them. If you’ve been avoiding the “everything drawer” in your kitchen, these magnetized silicone ties are your new best friends. They can be used to organize everything from rubber bands to computer cords. And, the magnets are not just strong enough to stick a note to your refrigerator, you could use them to hang your keys or even hold a shower curtain back. If you’re ready to get serious about spring cleaning, get involved with these magnetic cable ties.

I am smitten with this super chic, 70s inspired sweater skirt from Tory Burch. And not just because it has an elastic waist but also, because it has an elastic waist! The soft pleats and midi length are elegant but this skirt can be easily dressed up or down with your choice of footwear. You will love-love it on the courts and beyond. Yes, that is a tennis joke.

Whether it's raffia, rattan or leather, Bembien has the most beautiful collection of woven footwear and handbags that go way beyond the beach. They have four styles of slides and a vast assortment of bags in options varying from clutches to totes. I especially love this hand-woven leather houndstooth tote. Plus, a lot of their bag styles are also carried by Madewell which you can peruse here.

The new spring collection from Damaris Bailey was inspired by mod fashion of the 1960s and spring blooms and it is swoon-worthy! The collection is full of springy pastels and florals and each dress has a unique structural element that makes it a real conversation starter. For instance, this pink peek-a-boo dress, that is also available without the peek-a-boo element here.
