Plum Eyeliner
After stumbling upon some Tiktok inspiration, I decided to depart from my trusty brown and black eyemakeup and try my hand at plum (yes plum!) eyeliner. You can watch my live attempt on video here. Turns out, plum is super flattering on ALL eye colors. Brown eyes look good with literally any color, but lighter eyes have a much harder time venturing beyond brown and black color palettes. Plum actually makes blue/green/hazel eyes POP and also offers a really nice soft look. See for yourself in this plum eyeliner tutorial I made. If you’re a caramel fan, I’m going to need to direct your attention to these absolutely INSANE vanilla butter salted caramels from Béquet Caramel. And if you’re not a caramel fan, you’re about to become one. These super soft caramels have the perfect hit of sea salt, which balances the vanilla so beautifully. The serving size is three candies, but let’s not dwell on that. I can eat these like popcorn. You’ve been warned.
Favorite Daughter Bootcut Jeans
These super high-waist jeans from Favorite Daughter are the jeans that were recently made internet famous by Jennifer Aniston because of the super flattering effect they gave to her derrière. Since she wore them, I’ve seen countless Tiktokers put them to the test and the results are unanimous, they’re PERFECT. While I personally can’t fit into jeans right now, I have purchased these for post-baby. Also, it should come as no surprise that these jeans are amazing because Favorite Daughter absolutely kills it in the pants category. Their Favorite Pant is… well, my absolute favorite.
Rectangular Centerpiece Vase
I am not naturally gifted when it comes to arranging flowers, so any hack I can employ that speeds up the process is a dream in my book. So when Meg Quinn of @ainttooproudtomeg featured this foolproof centerpiece vase I knew it was made for flower-arranging fools like me. The acrylic rectangular design includes 24 holes that, when filled with flowers, instantly look like an elegant, perfectly-arranged floral centerpiece. These vases come in various heights and lengths, but they’re all durable acrylic, easy to clean and create wedding-worthy arrangements for any dinner party.
Frownies Facial Patches
If you haven’t spent much time on TikTok lately, you might not realize it, but Frownies are having a real moment. Of course, there are endless injectables and lasers, even surgical approaches to wrinkles, but the OG recommendation (from mom) is still in the conversation because they work, at a fraction of the cost. The Light Salon LED Mask
To your children, it may look like an alien has abducted their mother, when in reality, this LED mask is taking years off mom’s face. I’ve shared it in the past, but now that I’ve been using it for several months, I can’t rave enough. It has massively improved my skin in every possible way — noticeably fading hyperpigmentation, improving texture, overall glow, you name it. Worth the hype and every penny. Also, if you have light eyes, this particular model is amazing because it comes with optional eye guards. Other LED masks I’ve tried do not and for my light-sensitive light eyes, it is blinding to the point of being unbearable. The eye guards allow me to keep this mask by my bedside and pop the mask on every night while I read (or doom scroll) before bed.
Margaux Ballet Flat
Don’t think that woven rattan flats have distracted me from my first love: ballet flats. I’ve certainly posted about these demi flats from Margaux before which are flat out, one of my favorite flats. They are effortlessly chic and thanks to the soft leather and foam padding insole, unbelievably comfortable. However, I need to draw your attention to this new suede lilac hue for spring, which is simply TOO dreamy to ignore.
Walmart Scoop Line
Last week, I shared my love of this floral trench coat from Walmart’s Scoop brand, but the whole spring line is worth a look. Brandon Maxwell (yes, THE Brandon Maxwell is their Creative Director) is working his magic with color and prints, and you don’t want to miss out. My Favorite Amazon Yoga Pants
It’s been what, at least five minutes since I raved about how perfect these wide leg yoga pants are from Amazon brand Promover. You definitely don’t have to enjoy or even do yoga to wear and — mark my words — love these pants. I just ordered ANOTHER pair in white for spring and summer and arghhhh, they’re just so good. Lake Pajamas: Robe Edition
I’ve always been so enamored with Lake’s actual pajamas that I’ve been sleeping (pun intended?) on their utterly perfect robes. Every single detail of this robe is, in my opinion, ideal. It is so soft and cozy, but lightweight enough that you feel comfortable wearing it around your house at all times. Fluffy terry cloth robes are great when you’re getting out of the shower, but are ultimately too bulky, heavy, and hot after 15 minutes. I throw this Lake robe on at the end of the workday and just relax (AKA chase after toddlers in comfort and luxurious softness all night).
