Monday Memo No. 135
Candy, cardigans, and discount codes, oh my!
Did you see this video or maybe this video recently on Instagram? The love is real. BUT I HAVE VERY BIG NEWS! Wiley Wallaby, the only licorice that matters, just released a new low sugar, gluten-free version of its Very Berry licorice! They’ve removed all but one gram of sugar and still promise the crave-worthy flavor I can taste in my dreams. I’m not saying you have to buy it by the case but that’s my strategy.
You know what I just love? Searching for my sunglasses after I’ve already started driving and the sun is scorching my retinas. If you, too, are in need of a designated place for your sunglasses to live that is not the bottom of a console or purse that’s inevitably littered with old face masks, energy bars, and children's toys, get one of these handy car sunglasses clips and commit to keeping your sunnies where they belong. These clips also have the added benefit of keeping your sunglasses safe from scratches and breaks when not in use.
I’ve yet to find something the addition of pearls can’t improve. At the moment, I’m really enjoying cardigans embellished with pearls of all kinds. They really do add the sweetest bit of elevation to a classic casual look, and I’m all in favor of easy ways to level-up an outfit. I recently shared a favorite on Instagram, and you can shop that one along with many others at all price points right here.
Did you just sit up straighter? Me too. If your back needs more TLC than you’re giving it (this is all of us, no?), check out this extremely popular back stretching device that helps alleviate pain and is actually a self-massager too, one that magically uses zero electricity and instead relies on your own body weight at pressure points to provide relief. There is nothing more glorious than laying down on this things after a long day in front of a computer. Definitely check out all the different ways this device can be used, it’s worth every penny and then some!
File this custom name stamp under incredibly useful and adorable. Once your little ones enter preschool, mid-day outfit changes are inevitable after art class goes awry. If you’d like to get all of your child’s belongings back at the end of the day, use this custom stamp to declare what’s theirs. The stamp itself is so cute you might also have a little helper or two dying to get involved. If you're dealing with toddlers like I am, I highly recommend against allowing them to get involved because the ink doesn't bleed or fade in the wash. This is mommy's art project for after the kids go to bed if you want to avoid ruining clothes.
Has everyone tried this viral salad yet? For me, the Green Goddess salad heard ‘round the internet is very much worth the excessive chopping involved and lives up to the hype, with a few additions. Personally, I like to add some chicken, a few craisins and almonds or macadamia nuts to balance out the flavor profile. However, I completely agree that it’s an instant classic salad, full of flavor and veggies, and you can eat it with tortilla chips if you want to.
I have become enamored with this brand. In love. Are you kidding me with these patent light blue loafers and pumps? Can a brand be too charming? Never! While you’re scrolling through Frances Valentine’s offerings and screaming at your screen, you might also want to check out this wicker bag and this one, while you’re at it. Every piece is an investment in a timeless treasure you’ll get complimented on forever.
I’ve already sung the praises of Proven’s completely personalized, luxury skincare system to you many times before. You take a quick three-minute quiz that covers everything a Dermatologist covers in their office, plus they ask you for things like your zip code so they can take into account the hardness of your local water as well as environmental factors and make adjustments to your formulas depending on local weather patterns. Their team of Stanford Dermatologists then formulate a completely personalized three-step, comprehensive luxury skincare system and send it straight to your door. Every single active ingredient your skin needs, consolidated into a cleanser, daytime moisturizer and night cream. No more layering of 37 different lotions and potions. If you haven’t had a chance to use my discount code: LOVEMARY yet, it expires TODAY, 2/15, and will get you an entire Proven system for just $99 with a bonus silk headband for free. That's over $90 off. This is a great opportunity to try incredibly high-quality (and custom!) skincare at an amazing price.
Recipes by Lillie Eats and Tells take the counting out of counting macros and meal planning. If you're into that sort of thing, that is. Personally, I'm not! I'm just a busy parent who wants healthy, hearty, EASY meals for my family. This ONE cookbook handles the heavy lifting of planning out healthy meals that are beloved by the whole family so that you never feel like healthy eating is a chore. We use the ONE cookbook, which is available in either print or e-book, and we’ve been using it to make meals in advance and enjoy all week. I highly recommend it to anyone who is busy but never wants nutrition to fall by the wayside.
Later this week I'm going to share a massive round-up of the spring dresses I’m currently coveting for the warmer months ahead, but since there are a few particular options that are highly likely to sell out, I thought a sneak peek was in order. Right now, I’m ordering this bold tropical number from Zimmerman, this romantic off-shoulder moment from Amur, this incredible strapless maxi by Caroline Constas, and this stunning classic midi by Tanya Taylor. Now I just need some sunshine to properly accessories them.
If you’re the sort of shopper who gets overwhelmed (or bored!) by the lack of curation (and endless scrolling) with most mega-retailers, here’s a smart link to bookmark. It’s Tuckernuck’s New Arrivals Page, and it has a permanent place in my bookmarks bar. It’s just so consistently amazing for someone with a classic style preference, the question is not will I find something I love, but will I have the self-control to limit my basket size. I won’t go into all of my current favorites because there are simply too many, but we can kick things off with the perfect belted spring jacket, and this breathtaking spring maxi.
You know how you can buy children toys that can do all sorts of cool things like light up, make sounds, julienne fries, etc., but, inevitably, they end up preferring the box it came in? I'm quickly learning that simpler is often better. Exhibit A: This rather simple-looking curved wobble board is actually an incredible Montessori toy that my toddler is utterly obsessed with. She finds it hilarious to try and stand on it and balance herself like she’s surfing. She’s also been known to use it to climb up onto our bed. She’s even used the board on its side to make a fort, and the list goes on. Simplicity! Who knew.
In a recent Monday Memo, I shared my love for the Rodial Banana Lowlighter, but really–all their products are outstanding. I use their Glass Powder every day to set makeup. I’ve found that it makes my pores utterly invisible and prevents shine and oil build-up better than anything else I’ve used. Make sure you use my discount code MARY15 for 15% off your next order!
