CLEAR LIPSTICK CAPS

You should be sitting for this one.  Via my friend Lauryn, I recently discovered a company that makes clear plastic caps for popular lipstick brands. How AMAZING is this?!  That perfectly-organized makeup collection (who are we kidding, the 45 random items at the bottom of your bag), just got a lot more functional. These caps let you easily see the color in the tube without checking each color name with a magnifying glass, making locating your chosen color so much easier.  If you really want to go all the way, replace those caps and then organize everything in this clear plastic display (also love this one if you need more room).  For more makeup organization inspo, check out Lauryn’s post here.

Perfect Fall Coats

Okay…it’s late-ish August, and I’m starting to wrap my head around the idea of Autumn.  Making that effort a lot easier are plenty of fresh-for-2018 options in a clothing category I’ll call “coats that aren’t actually coats.” For example, this Harris Wharf London coziness looks more like a sweater that takes its job seriously, rather than a full-on coat. Also I kind of can’t get over the color of this gorgeous Soia & Kyo piece. Fine, Fall. You may proceed.

My obsession with belts is no secret, and Frame has always been one of my favorite go-to brands. Perhaps you’ve noticed the brown version of this beauty in…I don’t know, a bajillion of my Instagrams? The brand has just released a new spin on this closet classic, and it’s perfect for cinching a dress at the waistline (literally me, always) or wearing with jeans. It comes in black, too!

I am a champion of the “if you like it, buy it in every color” adage. It’s the best way to avoid shopper’s regret.  I’ve recently learned that I’m 100% in love with Everlane’s Pima Micro Rib Open V-Neck, so naturally all three colors are in my closet, ready to help me with all of my effortless Fall outfit needs.  Can’t get enough of that v detail which somehow makes the simplest jeans and sneakers outfit appear effortlessly chic.

Amazing Lip Mask

Here’s a fun idea, what if we didn’t get chapped lips this year? Taking better care of my pout the same way I care for my skin is a huge priority going into fall and winter. This year, I’m being proactive and getting into nighttime lip-care, starting with Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask. I like the idea of being able to leave the house without some mildly medicinal lip solution in tow, don’t you?  Believe me, there’s a reason this product as 130K loves on Sephora.

Ridiculously Delicious One-Pot Chicken Recipe

If you’re going to master a crowd pleasing recipe before summer ends, let it be this one.  I spotted it on Food52 last week and kind of can’t wait to make it again.  It comes together so simply, in literally one pan, and encourages lots of dipping bread in sauce, which is one of my favorite activities.  Go ahead and try this now while tomatoes are awesome and in season—my thinking is it’ll become a staple for anyone who loves hosting friends for dinner.
