Attention small business owners, contractors, freelancers, or gig workers of all kinds! If you’re currently navigating the intricacies (read: huge headache) of government assistance programs and have questions around financial relief during COVID-19, Intuit has recently released a new, free resource in partnership with the federal government to help you make sense of determining your eligibility and receiving the assistance you may need. Rich and I use Intuit products across all of our businesses, so we know and trust them to streamline processes and simplify complexities. Check out Intuit Aid Assist—particularly for the FAQ section (at the bottom of the homepage) that really helps make sense of it all.
Hey, you know what sounds fun? Clothes that don’t feel like clothes. If you need a good oversized t-shirt because maybe you’ve spilled things on all your other ones, this guy is ideal. I’ve bought it in blush, coral, and white and you know what… I’m not done. One thing to note, it’s pretty decently oversized so if you’d like a fit that’s closer to what you usually wear, you might want to size down. Good lord do I love this shirt.
This brand is a new obsession of mine. They have so many stunning casual pieces, but this gorgeous half-zip pullover (hello 90s, how are you?) is my current favorite. Think comfortable, almost-loungewear clothing that’s dialed up the style factor by 1000, so you can actually leave the house in it. I’ll take one of everything, thanks.
Bored? Quarantined? Addicted to your phone? All of the above? You may recall that I created the “Random Questions While Distancing Filter” on Instagram as a fun way to connect and pass time while social distancing. In honor of this little filter reaching over 100 million impressions, I recently released an update to it, containing 70 additional questions designed to occupy your time and mind during these quiet days at home. Play with friends, from a safe distance. Go check it out in my IG highlights for details on how to play and make sure to tag me when you use the filter because I, too, need to be entertained.
Um… chocolate chips come in FLAVORS?! I had no idea that Nestle Tollhouse covered such ground with their options but recently discovered that their lineup includes sea salt caramel, milk chocolate & peanut butter, and dark chocolate, to name a few! I am currently hooked on the espresso flavor and I’m going to use them to make these cookies, forthwith. I do not intend to share.
While I fully acknowledge that I may not be able to wear these flats in public until the year 2038, I simply don’t care because they are the cutest (I ordered them in black), and so comfortable. I mean, I might put them on, sit on the couch, and just stare at my feet. That’s what passes for an activity these days around here. In all seriousness, even if I can’t wear them until late summer or next spring, they’re the kind of cute, timeless purchase I feel really good about, especially at these prices.
Does it count as doing your hair? Sure! Whether you’re styling your hair with a headband because it’s easy, or because it conveniently hides your grown-out roots, headbands are the hair heroes of the season. The season that may never end. I love this option for spring because, you know, I’ll work gingham into the conversation at any opportunity, but if you really need to hide roots right now, scroll through the headband section of Etsy—so many options! I’m ordering this floral cutie.
We’re all spending a lot more time around our tech lately, and it’s always a good idea to protect yourself yourself against radiation if you tend to use your laptop on your actual lap. This guy uses multiple layers of shielding to block up to 99% of your laptop’s EMF & 5G radiation, while also greatly reducing heat so you don’t like… roast your legs. If you really want to ace that whole “couch productivity” situation, you can pair it with the memory foam cushion that the pad fits into.
Much of quarantine is being spent in search of clothes that are maybe not quite real clothes but are also not pajamas. It’s a genre. These pants from Uniqlo (a true hero of both your closet and your wallet) and have a loose fit, an elastic waistband, and some epic pockets happening. They’re so comfy for at-home wear, but still qualify as outside-pants, should the need arise. They come in two gorgeous denim washes along with white, black and cream and did I mention they have an elastic waistband? Oh, and they’re also $29 right now. [Insert all of the emoji praise hands here.]
Eberjey is the gold standard when it comes to sleepytime clothes. These are my favorite, and several of the colors are on sale! I should note that they’re very similar to Nordstrom’s version which I’ve shared many times in the past and still love. The Eberjey versions are a little pricier, but that’s because they’re higher quality, and will wash/wear better over time. When I can (i.e. right now) I get the Eberjey set on sale. Truly some of the best-quality sleepwear you can buy.
I love the idea of picnicking in the backyard or whenever possible from a safe distance in the park. When it happens, why not have a really impressive picnic setup? I love this adorable basket, and this wine set for lovely outdoor days, and have given both of these sets as gifts in the past, which always seem to be a hit. If you’re scrambling for something for Mother’s Day, definitely check them out.
This is the collaboration of dreams. Olivia Rubin, for those unfamiliar, is a London-based designer who creates some of the most stunning, mood-lifting rainbow pieces. Now, she has teamed up with one of my favorite skincare brands, Elemis, to create this set which is providing an enormous boost to my quarantine self-care situation. The set includes a ton of beloved Elemis products in a gorgeous rainbow bag designed by Olivia… for a discount. It makes an excellent gift, but you also have full permission to simply buy this for yourself. I certainly did…
