We want to say we love the holidays because of the decor, the music, the general feeling of merriment that seems to dust everything over like the first snow, but the truth is it’s the MASHED POTATOES, PEOPLE. Holiday fare is the best fare, and it’s inevitable (and encouraged, honestly) that we indulge a little a lot during the festive season.
That then begs the question, what on earth does one wear to Friendsgiving? You want something fun, sure—it’s not like you’re sitting across from a judgmental aunt at this gathering—but you also want to feel super comfortable so that you don’t have to go home early on account of too many yams.
There has to be a happy medium between “looking nice” for a proper Friendsgiving, and showing up like Joey from Friends in sweatpants and a football tee. I believe I have successfully found such a happy place.

Ever wonder why leopard print tends to trend in winter? Well, I think we know now. That third piece of pumpkin pie is officially camouflaged by a sea of spots. Second, the stretchy knit-ness of the dress expands with you (wonderful visual, I know), so there’s no fear of uncomfortable tautness or (heaven forbid) splitting a seam when you stand back up from the table.

Add your cutest little bag, you know, the one you’ve been saving for a fun night when you don’t need to tote along your entire bathroom, and a gorgeous heeled boot. (You’ll be sitting most of the night, your feet needn’t worry.) Keep accessories classic but not overdone. Nobody needs a rogue bangle in the gravy.

I love this dress! The color, the cut… it’s perfection. It’s hard to find chic long sleeved dresses (I get so cold!) and this one is perfect. I would style it with black tights and ankle boots (leg lengthening but warm), and a big, bold earring. Maybe something green like these (my favorite color + love how it pairs with lilac), these (can’t go wrong with classic Chanel), or these. (The white is unexpected especially this time of year, but it works!)

I designed this dress with versatility in mind. To me, it’s the perfect balance of classic meets modern, and it’s perfect for any Friendsgiving function whether it’s casual or formal, because you can easily dress it up with a vintage-inspired coat and pumps, or dress it down with flats and a denim jacket.

When it comes to holiday get-togethers with friends I am always looking for styles that make me feel comfortable, yet put together. This dress is extremely flattering with sleeve ruching and a nipped-in waist with ruffle details. I also tend to look for styles that can be dressed up or dressed down. This dress is amazing back to a pair of heels but also looks amazing with a pair of brown boots and a wide brown belt! If you are somewhere a bit cooler, a tissue weight black turtleneck would also pair nicely under!

I wanted to to opt for a dress that is cool, yet comfy, to ensure there’s plenty of room for all of the stuffing and pie I’ll be consuming. I appreciate that this one (in white polka dots, but really, all of them) can be dressed up with over-the-knee boots or a strappy shoe, but can easily work with sneakers and a leather jacket. To take it to the next level, add a statement earring and a bold lip and you’re good to go!

Unbelievably beautiful dresses, but the one with leopard print is my favorite. It fits well with those gorgeous black boots. You look terrific.
