AirPods
I love how easily we all got over having strings coming out of our ears, don’t you? Yes, we’re all terrified we’re going to lose one. But overall, these highly portable and effortless earbuds are changing the way we listen to music, talk on the phone, and no longer spend time untangling stuff.

Apple Watch
I love mine, you love yours, thank goodness there have been advancements in strap couture. So glad to see so many of you hopped on the smartwatch bandwagon this year, welcome.

Amazon Echo
“Alexa, do my taxes.” “Sure, no problem.” Anyone who has an Amazon Echo is no doubt obsessed with their new ability to play music, hear the news and weather, set timers, order stuff, and just in general get the answers to any questions they have, all without lifting a finger. How did we ever exist without her?

FitBit Versa Smartwatch
I think this thing does everything except make you an egg white omelette. This health and fitness-focused smartwatch tracks all the biometric data you expect from FitBit, but it also has free music, coaching, apps, and it’s like…a watch. The battery lasts four days (what?), and it’s the perfect tool to keep track of all those new resolution-y habits you’re creating.

Dyson Airwrap Styler
It’s officially the future. Dyson (yes the vacuum people) made a hair styling tool that does the following, all without extreme heat: dries, curls, waves, straightens. Did you ever think you could do all that to your hair without heat damage? A hefty price tag, yes—but it works like a dream, and you know… science.

Bose Noise Cancelling Earbuds
Not everyone’s an AirPod obsessive, you know? The quality of these noise cancelling earbuds is outstanding, and if the price tag makes you timid, think of them this way: They’re amazing for travel. They take up minimal bag room, but offer maximum screaming baby sound insulation. Worth it.

Sonos One
Yes, you could have an extravagant turntable setup with more components than anyone needs, taking up tons of living room space and constantly needing Swiffering, or you could simplify things without sacrificing those sweet sounds you crave. A Sonos One is an absolute must for those living in small spaces (or all the spaces) who love music. The sound is impeccable, and the real estate required to have one is minimal. “Play Shallow. Yes, again.”

Smartplugs
One of my favorite gadgets, these things are genius for turning any home into an automated one. Just plug these beauties into any outlet, plug anything you want into the smartplug, and instantly control that device from your phone, or ask Alexa to help you. Forget to turn the lights off before bed? Tap a button. Need to turn on the coffee pot? Tap a button. Not sure if you turned off your straightener? Look at your phone, and then tap a button. “Alexa, order smartplugs.”
