While lace has been back in vogue for years, it’s a particularly tricky thing to pull off in a professional way.  Despite the varied manifestations of the fabric in everything from casual tops to cocktail dresses, it’s tough to escape that “boudoir” connotation at the office.  This dress, however, seems to effectively counterbalance the lace with its more conservative length and collar.  When incorporating lace into your work wardrobe, keep this concept in mind–be sure that you’re offsetting the lace with more conservative “buttoned-up” elements to maintain a professional appearance.
