Winter Style Essentials

Allow me to illustrate the exact ensemble of which I speak. Here, I’m wearing a very comfortable pair of Verdugo Ankle Skinny Maternity Jeans by Paige, which have elastic side panels to accommodate Baby #2’s current 18,000 square foot penthouse suite in my belly. In case you’ve missed me raving about this particular pair on instagram, let me just say that these are hands-down my favorite maternity jeans. They’re as comfortable (possibly more comfortable) than my leggings and sweats. 

On top, a La Ligne wool and cashmere striped sweater that’s arguably my favorite knitwear purchase of the season and just the sort of thing that helps you breathe a sigh of relief when you spot it in your closet. It’s cozy, casual, but also cute enough to make you feel like you “got dressed,” you know? Also, this audience knows how I feel about a cable knit. And a stripe.

Outerwear

If, for some insane reason, I decide to venture outside, I have a pair of Marc Fisher shearling lace up boots ready to keep my feet warm and dry and to also make sure I’m not slipping all over the ground like a baby penguin. Topping the look off is a rather stunning (and warm) faux fur coat from Baum. The two-tone style as well as the faux leather finishing make the coat feel distinctly fresh. The aforementioned slippers that I immediately reverted back to upon re-entering my house are a fuzzy pair from Joules, a slip-on, toe-toasting option that basically comes with their own Netflix queue.
