I’m constantly on the hunt for the best of the best tips, tricks and product recommendations.  I find inspiration and pick up great tidbits from all sorts of sources. This includes my own trial-and-error, friends, bloggers, magazines, newspapers, websites, you name it. But, my favorite font of information over the past many months has actually been YOU.

I think we all probably have a love-hate relationship with instagram, but the features they’ve rolled out in recent months have made it even easier to connect individually with so many of you.  Specifically, on instagram stories. Whenever I post an outfit or a new beauty favorite, I’m constantly blown away by the incredible tips and ideas you guys send my way in the comments or via DM.  Whether it’s an anecdote about how you like to style our favorite white button-downs or a tip on how you get rid of under-eye bags (hint, it’s not a cream, it’s facial massage), I’m blown away (and taking copious notes) every single day.

Awesome Recommendations on Instagram – From Lipstick to Style!

However, instead of sitting on this influx of great ideas, I wanted to find a way to aggregate everything and bring it right back to YOU.  Recently, I took to Instagram Stories to ask you to submit your can’t-live-without and top recommended lip products. And you guys delivered in spades.  Below are the Memorandum community results. The six most highly recommended lip products that were sent in by hundreds and hundreds of you.  And, spoiler alert: you clearly know what you’re talking about.

MOST POPULAR  //  Dior Addict Lip Glow. 

Introducing the makeup-meets-lip-care champion. This was by far the most highly recommended product and it’s no surprise. The soft, subtly-hued, moisturizing wonder is available in three finishes and tons of colors. So, it’s not hard to understand why it’s your go-to. Also…Dior.  Duh.  As mentioned in my recent Monday Memo, I’ve always heard about this product. However, for some reason never gave it a try until now.  It makes sense that most of you won’t leave home without it, because now, neither can I.

MOST TIMELESS  //  Burt’s Bees Lip Balm.

So, assuming you’re over the age of 13 (or whatever age we all move past the lip smackers phase of adolescence), there’s a strong chance you’ve had a little yellow Burt’s Bees tube floating around your bag/drawer/car. Moreover, the beeswax, shea butter & vitamin E balm is comforting in a way only stick-format balms can be. Also, the scent is iconic at this point and it’s $3.  So there’s that.

MOST RECOMMENDED BRAND  //  MAC.

Also beloved from a time when we all still shopped at a mall, I was so happy to see that MAC was the brand you all loved and recommended more than any other.  A brand synonymous with brilliant color (and genius collabs), this is one of those, if it ain’t broke, keep buying it in every shade brands.

BEST THROWBACK  //  Clinique Almost

Lipstick In Black Honey.  Did you know this shade launched in 1971?  Yes that’s 47 years ago, and yes that’s insane.  I mean, a product that’s been a cult classic for nearly half a century likely needs no real introduction, but it never ceases to amaze me how this one product can be so universally-flattering (TRULY) on absolutely every skin tone.  Don’t be misled by its dark burgundy appearance.  This sheer product fuses with the natural tone of your lips to create a just-bitten lip look that’s unique to you.  I was so happy to see this come through in recommendations, it’s a keep.

BEST BUDGET BUY  //  Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick.

Raise your hand if you could spend hours wandering the in-house brand aisle at Sephora. Yep.  Glad we’re all in agreement.  True beauty addicts (though I prefer the term aficionado), love to experiment, and it’s always easier/smarter to experiment with products that are bank account-friendly.  Sephora’s Cream Stain Liquid Lipsticks are clearly the go-to for leaving your comfort zone, and I’m right there with you.  I mean, it comes in 90 (yes, NINETY) different colors and has over 460,000 loves on Sephora, so I think it’s fair to say that this one’s a keeper.

MOST SPLURGE-WORTHY  //  Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick.

Let me start by saying that there’s a reason this lipstick is completely sold out in every single shade on Sephora.com (DON’T PANIC, Nordstrom’s got you boo).  Covetable both inside the packaging and out, there’s something about Charlotte Tilbury that just makes ya feel fancy, you know?  Gorgeous, everyday matte color that somehow also manages to be rich, creamy and ultra hydrating?  Of course, you recommended this sorcery to me (you geniuses), but I’d be remiss if I didn’t admit that I already own it in Pillow Talk and Red Carpet Red.
