Your work style is such an inspiration for me. I hope to dress this well when I become a working woman.
Holy wow! You look amazing in these pics—love that you made seersucker so work appropriate 🙂
This works on both coasts – east and west; i could see myself in this outfit.
Love the button detailing on your blazer.
beautiful! love the button details!
You are….lovely. I would ask you on a date, but I’m afraid I would just have to wait in line. I’m a fan.
OMG!! That blazer is EVERYTHING!!
The back button details on this suit is fantastic! Seersucker is such a great fabric for the spring/summer & this is such a great way to incorporate the fabric into your work wardrobe!

This seersucker suit is amazing!
Love this! I love each of your posts and all of your outfits! I check your blog daily for the next amazing outfit! I was guilty of looking sloppy in a business casual/prof environment, until I found your blog & the inspiration to look my best daily! Thank you so much!!
I love seersucker and, of course, Brooks Brothers! Such a stylish suit! So happy to have found another blogger that focuses on APPROPRIATE work attire! So much out there is not truly professional at all…

I love this (and Brooks Brothers), but I would love to see more affordable options for work wear. I really enjoy finding inspiration in your posts, but my cubicle salary will not afford me designer labels, unfortunately.
Brooks Brothers online often has 60% off sale items. Usually around holiday times like just recently President’s Day they had it. So the seersucker blazer was $99 and the skirt that I got was $59. The prices are back to 50% off sale items so now the blazer is $159 I think. But they will surely have another sale, they do this all the time, have flash sales that last a week or a few days. You basically have to stalk the site. April is a big sale month for BB, which is just around the corner, you can do really well around then. Even their Black Fleece line which is the Tom Browne line gets steeply discounted at some point in the year. I once got a summer blazer BF for $90 in April. Brooks Brothers has three lines, Red Fleece which is their most affordable and is supposedly geared to a younger set but I find it has plenty of things for women who are not in the teens/20’s, then their regular line and then the Black Fleece which is their high end line.
I made a mistake, the blazer is now $124 not $159, but they’ll have another sale for %60 off, they do this quite a bit. Trust me…April, tune in to BB then.
Another website that has great work clothes is J Crew and they often have 40-50% of sale items. You just have to wait and check the site regularly to see what the promotion of the day is. Their shipping is really cheap too, $5 flat, unlike BB which kind of has annoyingly high shipping, around $17 for like 4 items.
City Seersucker! I love it. And I love the buttons down the back of that suit, so very southern charm.
My blazer and skirt arrived today and I love them! I also kept a khaki linen suit with white tipping that is timeless and understated. It would look better on you with your blonde coloring. My husband asked if it was more for someone with blonde coloring when I showed it to him online. Back to the seersucker…I think red shoes with the pants suit would really make this outfit pop if you want to add a little sexiness to it.
