If you’re new to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019, it’s worth mentioning that this is not your typical sale filled with items that haven’t sold in seasons past.  This sale is all completely new, heavily-discounted pre-fall merchandise that hasn’t even hit other retailers yet.  As you can see, my shopping this year leaned heavily towards comfy pieces that I plan to live in for the first few weeks after baby arrives and classic staples that I’ll be wearing constantly for years to come.

PAIGE Transcend Skyline Skinny Jeans

I have too many pairs of classic skinny jeans, said no one ever.  Perhaps this purchase was wishful thinking on my part that I will, in fact, be able to wear jeans again once this baby arrives.  (Don’t worry, I sized up.)  But once September hits, I know I’ll be thankful that I have a fresh pair of skinnies that don’t have saggy knees (or a saggy bum).

Nordstrom Signature Shawl Collar Cashmere Cardigan

I bought a similar Nordstrom-brand longline cashmere cardigan last year during this sale and it has been one of the most-worn items in my closet. When wearing it again a few weeks ago my dad even commented, “Wow, you really love that sweater, don’t you?!” If my fashion-oblivious father starts commenting on how much I wear a certain item, I think it’s time to pull in reinforcements.  Clearly I need more long cardigans in my life to help mix things up.

The relaxed fit and flattering boat neck of this classic sweater screams WEAR ME FOREVER, and I’m not one to argue.

Speaking of wear-forever pieces, this silk blouse is just… perfect.  The v-neckline, the delicate covered bottons, the pleated front—it’ll be a beautiful workwear staple for years to come.

Truth be told, I ordered this ribbed sweater in black, ivory and burgundy because I know I will wear them 100 times a week.  I’m starting to wonder whether I should have also snagged the ivory/black stripe…

Yet another basic that will be worn nearly everyday, I ordered these long sleeve layering tees in blush and ivory.  I know I’ll be wearing them constantly under the longline cardigan above on cozy fall and winter days.

Barefoot Dreams Cozychic Ultra Lite Pants

These pants (I purchased them in “Pacific Blue“) and the coordinating duster cardigan below will be going straight into my hospital bag.  If you’re not familiar with the Barefoot Dreams brand, you are in for a TREAT. Honestly, you don’t know the meaning of the words “soft” and “cozy” until you try one of their pieces (like my favorite blanket on the planet).  Everything made by this brand is made from the most buttery soft material you will ever feel in your life.  There are not enough superlatives in the world to properly convey my love for Barefoot Dreams.  I absolutely always stock up during the Nordstrom Sale.

Barefoot Dreams Cozychic Ultra Lite Duster

This duster cardigan is technically not a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale item but it’s 33% off right now and matches the above lounge pants… so who am I to say no to a matching set?  As mentioned above, I ordered it in “Pacific Blue” and you better believe this cozy beauty will be joining the coordinating pants in my hospital bag.

Alo Soho Crewneck Pullover

Speaking of brands that I love, Alo Yoga is one of my favorite activewear brands and in addition to this pullover which I purchased in “Dark Lavender,” I also bought their high-waist leggings which sadly appear to be sold out now.  However, if you stumble upon items that are sold out or possibly just sold out in your size during this sale, check back periodically as items occasionally get restocked.  If you’re in the market for leggings, run don’t walk towards these Spanx faux leather leggings which are perhaps the most popular leggings on planet earth.  I did not buy them this year because I already own two pairs which are still in perfect condition.  They’re the BEST.

You’ve heard me drone on about these pajamas repeatedly for at least five years now.  I own more pairs than I’d like to admit and always hoard more during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  They’re so soft, so comfortable, so everything.  Trust.

Charlotte Tilbury’s lipstick in shade Pillow Talk is arguably her most iconic and universally-flattering product.  It’s a pinky-nude hue that somehow just looks fantastic on everyone, and with this kit, you get the coordinating lip liner and lip gloss. This purchase was an absolute no-brainer for me. I’m completely baffled that it’s still in stock.

If you read my full sale guide, you’ll know I wasn’t kidding when I said the beauty section of the sale this year might just be my favorite section.  The number of cult-favorite products at unprecedentedly-deep discounts is shocking.  This Anastasia Beverly Hills brow duo certainly falls near the top of my can’t-live-without beauty products. I personally use the shade “Taupe” Every. Single. Day.

Beauty Blender Sponge Set

Yet another product that is absolutely essential to my makeup routine, the beautyblender is something I always stock up on during the Anniversary Sale. There’s simply nothing on the market that ensures even, streak-free makeup application with minimal product waste quite like these magnificent little sponges. I apply concealer, contour, tinted moisturizer and foundation with a beautyblender, and can’t live without them. Just remember to thoroughly dampen the sponge before you use!

This has been my favorite self-tanner for years, so I was thrilled to see it offered in a jumbo size and at such an amazing price!  This stuff provides the most natural, streak-free tan and doesn’t go bad, so stock up.

Simplehuman 8-Inch Round Sensor Mirror Pro

Last week, in a remarkable act of athleticism, I somehow sent my small vanity mirror (similar to this one) flying off the bathroom counter to smash into one billion pieces on the marble floor. Needless to say, I was in the market for a replacement, and since I know (from previous experience) that SimpleHuman mirrors are the best of the best, I was relieved to see this beauty included in the sale. C’est la vie.

You likely know by now that my love for all things Jo Malone runs deep so, naturally, this candle collection was added to cart immediately.  The set comes in three of the brand’s most popular scents, which just so happen to be three of my absolute favorites as well—English Pear & Freesia, Peony & Blush Suede and Lime Basil & Mandarin. YUM. These make for fabulous hostess gifts to have on hand, so I always stock up when they’re on sale (which is very rare). The hard part is actually leaving them in my cupboard for hostess gifts and refraining from burning them myself…

Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw

If you purchase nothing else during this sale, PURCHASE A BAREFOOT DREAMS BLANKET. It’s one of those products that you didn’t know you needed until you own it, and then you will literally never go a day without wrapping yourself up in its buttery-soft warmth.  I’m currently typing this with mine wrapped around my legs. It’s truly the best throw on the market, I can’t say enough good things. I never thought I’d be so passionate about a blanket, but here we are.

Nordstrom at Home Large Round Acacia Wood Serving Tray

This gorgeous serving tray will be taking up permanent residence on my coffee table very soon. I love my coffee tables, but they’re glass, so show every little speck and smudge the second you place anything on them.  I’m hoping this beautiful tray will serve as an attractive barrier so I can put a glass down without immediately having to get out the windex.
