The Contemporary collection at Saks is a destination I’m constantly trolling because (a) we all know that Saks Fifth Avenue is, well, Saks Fifth Avenue (i.e. fashion holy ground) and (b) the selection is always curated and edited to PERFECTION. By this, I mean that I don’t have to spend three weeks sifting through 500 pages of random garbage before I spot pieces I love. Honest-to-goodness, I’ve had the Saks Contemporary collection bookmarked on my computer for years because shopping there is just EASY (in fact, my credit card would argue that it’s a little too easy…). As you know, I like classic, feminine, sophisticated pieces that are high quality and versatile but as someone who already has two full-time jobs, I want to be able to find those kinds of pieces quickly and efficiently. I want a professional to weed out the neon tie-dye band t-shirts so that I don’t have to devote my entire weekend to sifting through the “tops” section, you feel me?
Today’s look is a perfect example of the killer, classic pieces I’ve recently found at Saks. Caroline Constas continues to be one of my favorite new designers and I simply can’t seem to get over her fresh take on classic prints and silhouettes. When it comes to this polka dot off-shoulder top, no detail is spared from the snug bodice to the blouson sleeves and even the stunning ties at the elbows. If you’re looking for a simpler look, I also love this similar black off-shoulder top that you’ll wear day and night throughout the warm-weather months.
I’ve been on the hunt for a fresh pair of white denim and audibly gasped when I spotted these Frame wide legs. The frayed hem, the bow-tie waist, the high rise, the slight stretch… utter perfection. Run don’t walk because these suckers are going to sell out FAST.
Of course, when it comes to accessories, you can’t beat these stunning Tory Burch sandals or this black Cult Gaia ark bag. This bag was actually one of those purchases that I originally hesitated on, and yet it’s been the bag I’ve worn more than any other since temperatures started to rise. It can be casual, it can be dressy, it’s just the easiest piece that goes with everything while also adding interest.

Mary – Can you please give tips and tricks for keeping white pants clean? Any magic solutions? Even when I manage to not spill coffee or something else on them, after a few washes they seem to look dirty. Advice? Any specific detergent work better than others?
Great, inspirable outfit! As always!
These pants are oh-so-gorgeous!

Absolutely beautiful love! You wear a black and white outfit so well. Speaking of, I seriously need both the pants in the top in my life. I’ve been addicted to wearing high waisted pants, they’re so flattering and elongating! And that top is perfect for my life – the polka dots really pop. I love the sailor vibes from the outfit 🙂

Spring is hopefully just around the corner (maybe if I keep typing it then it will come true) – despite all the freezing cold weather we have had recently, I’ve refused to welcome anymore knitwear or thick coats into my life. Anything I purchase from here on out has to be able to work through spring/summer, and hopefully there will be some sunshine and questionable tan lines along the way…
