Lightweight split-hem sweaters like the one pictured above have become my cold weather garment of choice this winter. The loose fit makes them incredibly comfortable to wear with jeans or leggings on the weekends, while the split hem allows them to be dressed up with a high-waisted skirt or wide-leg trouser as seen above. With deep side slits, the front can be tucked in comfortably while letting the back hang loose, accentuating the waist-line and still maintaining an incredible comfort factor. Business in the front, party in the back doesn’t just apply to MacGyver’s baller haircut anymore. Go ahead and mullet-ize your sweater game with some more of my favorite side-slit sweaters below…

This look is perfectly elegant and effortless at the same time. The mix of patterns is wonderful and the delicate jewelry rounds up the whole look perfectly.

Black and white is such a classy and timeless look. Love the mix of patterns on the sweater and scarf that added some trendy elements to this outfit!

Chic and sophisticated outfit, you look beautiful!

Everything but that tuck looks fantastic! I don’t understand the back shirt flap just… flapping in the breeze like that. It looks sloppy and I imagine anyone working in a real office would be taken aside and asked if they were aware their shirt wasn’t tucked in. But I love the outfit overall!
Love the checked scarf with the pinstripe shirt! Very cool combo!

Really unique way of styling the split-hem top! It looked like a cape in the photos!
