SILK BLOUSE: Milly | PLEATED MIDI SKIRT: Tibi | BEADED LEATHER BELT: Aspiga | CLASSIC PUMPS: Saint Laurent (old, similar HERE and HERE) | EARRINGS: Jenny Bird (sold out, similar HERE) | HANDBAG: Dolce & Gabbana

If you read last week’s post on pink + red, then you know that bright color combos are on FIRE right now. But don’t think for a skinny minute that this color inferno won’t burn bright wayyyy past summer.
Get used to bold hues, my friends, because you’ll be seeing ’em everywhere all through the fall and winter seasons. *Giving a real quick shout out to the heavyweight champ of the year, pink, for maintaining its reign three seasons strong (and counting!)* I was never a huge pink fan until recently, but now I can’t get enough. (PSA: It isn’t going anywhere soon.) The mockneck silk blouse I’m wearing today is one of my absolute favorite new Nordstrom finds, and I love the subtle puffed shoulder and tie back detailing (also check out the surprise cutouts at the cuff!).
This pleated midi skirt is the perfect shade of deep orange that will carry you all through fall, cut in a classic silhouette that can literally take you anywhere. This hue will also look beautiful with neutrals, and could easily be paired with a white button down if you’re looking to take a more subtle approach.
To ground the bright colors, I paired with simple makeup and black accessories. But as you can see, the accessories still pack a punch of their own. I ADORE this black D&G Sicily bag with the embellished handle that adds just enough excitement, but doesn’t prevent it from being super wearable. As you know, I’ve had the bag in nude for a while, and for me, there is not a more beautiful, timeless silhouette on the planet.
Also on the accessories front, I recently stumbled upon this stunning beaded belt at Nordstrom and am fully. UHBSESSED. It’s arguably the true star of the show here because the multicolored beading truly unites the pink and the orange clothing, bringing the full look together seamlessly (which is a true art form…). I have to give a major shoutout to Nordstrom’s accessories department for the unexpected killer find, which has been a trend for me lately. I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I also just discovered their BP brand sunglasses, which I’m hoarding in droves because they’re basically $12 versions of every designer sunglass brand I’m coveting right now.

Thanks to Nordstrom for partnering on this post!

Love the colour combo. Not sure I would have the confidence to pull it off the way you do! I’ve bee reading your blog for a while and love your sense of style. Great role model for young professionals. I’ve shared your site with many young women. Thank you!,!
I love this type of dress very much. I always use this dresses. It is comfortable for me. But unfortunately, nowadays I have a problem to my waist and I don’t wear this type of dress. Have you any suggestion for me to solve my waist problem?
Love that belt! I agree, it’s definitely the star in this look! The bold colors are amazing! You paired everything so well.
Love this look! So pretty.
I’m absolutely in love with the colour of that skirt! I personally think pink+red is a perfectly good combination, but I can’t help hearing my grandmother sigh in the background ‘pink and red should never be mixed together’… Some advice however should be overruled (may this blogpost be my best argument). 😉
Love,
Dominique
