Party Pants—Because The Weather Doesn’t Respect Your Social Life

Pants like to party! Don’t ignore the entire section of your closet that never feels a draft this holiday season. I know we’re all conditioned to think that a seasonal night out requires a dress or festive top of some kind, but the right pair of party pants can not only allow you to top things off with your favorite cozy sweater, but elevate the entire ensemble, too.
The trick here is texture—we’re talking leather, satin, velvet. The right amount of polish and formality in a pant means you can get away with staying genuinely warm on top—while still looking genuinely good. Here, I’m demonstrating the fine art of the party pant with a look I got entirely from Saks. I’m pairing an impossibly cozy cable knit by Theory with a luxe, wide-leg velvet pant by Lafayette 148 New York. It’s a rich, monochromatic moment that sacrifices nothing. I can have fun, feel festive, and not have to ask the waiter for enough extra napkins to form a quilt.
There are many more takes on this party trick—in fact, I have this silky pair of satin pants and this sweater hanging in my closet for a holiday party we’re attending later this week. Both are also from Saks because what fashion needs can’t be solved with a Saks cart I ask you? Don’t sleep on leather options either, nothing lends itself better to holiday season polish than a perfectly fitting leather trouser, like this favorite pair you might have seen me share on Instagram recently. If you’re looking for even more inspo, check out a full round up of perfect pairings for when you want to go out, but you don’t want to come back with frostbite. Happy Holidays, friends.

Best Holiday Gifts For Little Ones

Tiny people can be so tough to shop for. Countless times, my children have tossed aside lovely gifts in lieu of a granola bar wrapper or tupperware jar that they find endlessly fascinating. Nevertheless, there have been a few big wins in our house that I’ve detailed below as you shop for any littles in your life. The below items are Coco and Liza’s tried-and-tested favorites—guaranteed to capture and HOLD their attention for ages. And a quietly-playing child is the greatest gift any parent can receive, amiright?

The Best Gifts for Holiday Hosts

The Molton Brown Frankincense and Allspice hand soap and hand lotion (on sale with code CBTY21SF) is always a good place to start. It’s my personal favorite duo to put in our guest bathrooms for the holiday and in addition to smelling incredible, it looks super festive too. For people on-the-go, I love gifting Corkcicle mugs or stemless wine cups (on sale with code CYBER21SF) to keep coffee warm during hectic mornings (and you might want to keep a few of these in stock as teacher gifts, too)! If I’m gifting my host an Elemis cleansing and hydrating set (on sale with code CBTY21SF), I know I’m getting invited back again (just saying) and I love the idea of encouraging your host to indulge in some self-care moments once the party rush is over.
