    First Aid Beauty Primers

Any brand that’s all about multitasking products (therefore enabling me to skip steps in my routine) is absolutely aces in my book. First Aid Beauty recently launched an eye cream that combines retinol AND hyaluronic acid, essentially the under-eye dream team. I’m also super excited about their new primers, which I’ve recently had the opportunity to test out. The Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer is great for dry, dull skin, and if you have super dry, sensitive skin, you should try their Ultra Repair Hyaluronic Hydrating Primer. Pores Be Gone Matte Primer is also great for oily or combination skin.…

    Giorgio Armani’s Fluid Master Primer

I recently had the misfortune to run out of my favorite Make Up For Ever primer (cue the tears) and had Giorgio Armani’s Fluid Master Primer conveniently sitting in my drawer, so I tried it. It’s amazing. My make up during fashion week hasn’t budged, which is akin to a miracle. I was skeptical because it has a slightly oily texture when you first squeeze it out of the bottle, but it doesn’t stay that way at all. I’ve also found it to be really nice during the dry winter months when we need something a little more moisturizing.

    Overnight Spot Treatments

I read about Peach Spot Dot acne patches for the first time last year in this article on Byrdie and they’ve saved my life countless times since.  As a disclaimer, I don’t have much trouble with acne, but I do have the kind of luck that seems to bring about a spot right before a big meeting or important conference.  These patches are totally mind-blowing and truly zap blemishes overnight.  Run don’t walk.

    Skincare Tips

I was overwhelmed by the positive responses to last week’s post on how to properly wash your face.  I’m so thrilled that these skincare posts are helpful and rest-assured, there’s a whole lot more coming your way!  As I explained in my first post debunking the top seven skincare myths, I feel like consumers are completely inundated by complete nonsense by skincare marketers.  After months of research and interviews with dermatologists, I’m so excited to share my learnings, which believe me, have been as surprising to me as they’ve been to many of you!  It’s not a great feeling knowing…

    Cryotherapy

I documented this over the weekend on instastories, but on Saturday, I tried Cryotherapy for the first time and absolutely LOVED IT.  Throughout many years of competitive sports, my body has always responded well to any and all kinds of ice therapy—cold compresses, ice baths, all of the cold things.  My friend Lauryn has been raving about Cryotherapy for months (you can read her full post here thoroughly explaining the benefits), so I finally decided to give it a try at Quick Cryo in Tribeca.  I went in super sore from a tough workout the day before, and left completely…

    Glossier Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen

We all know the importance of sunscreen (especially in the summer sun!) but it’s not easy to find one that (a) feels good on your face and (b) plays nice under your makeup.  If, like me, you rarely find a facial sunscreen that you like, try Glossier’s Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen.  It’s an invisible gel that leaves no white cast and no greasy residue while providing SPF 35 broad spectrum UVA and UVB coverage, which are all equally important for proper sun protection (read more about that HERE).

    Nudestix

Have you met Nudestix?  Have they changed your life yet?  Nudestix is a new-to-me mother/daughter brand that creates the creamiest, most natural-looking shades of makeup, all in stick form.  It’s all so easy to apply with just your fingers, and allows you to do a full, fresh-looking face in minutes.  Honestly I’m obsessed w/ their whole line, especially for summer, but do not overlook their blur stick.  I’ve put this on at 7am and still been impressed with my glow by dinnertime.  If the “no makeup” makeup look is your thing, definitely check out this brand.
