Any brand that’s all about multitasking products (therefore enabling me to skip steps in my routine) is absolutely aces in my book. First Aid Beauty recently launched an eye cream that combines retinol AND hyaluronic acid, essentially the under-eye dream team. I’m also super excited about their new primers, which I’ve recently had the opportunity to test out. The Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer is great for dry, dull skin, and if you have super dry, sensitive skin, you should try their Ultra Repair Hyaluronic Hydrating Primer. Pores Be Gone Matte Primer is also great for oily or combination skin. Applying a primer under your foundation is an absolutely essential step for ensuring it stays in place all day and I’m a big fan of these products because they allow me to skip other skincare steps by packing the primer in with those ingredients as well. For example, on dry days, I’d typically apply a hyaluronic acid product before my primer—now I don’t have to!

As you escape somewhere warm this winter, don’t forget that your skin is always on the clock. Taking your skin straight from winter’s dry climate to a sudden burst of warm sunshine is likely to scare your epidermis into all sorts of rogue behavior. Be prepared for the most common skincare concerns caused by a sudden bout with the beach:
• Sweat-induced breakouts
• Overall sun protection throughout the day
• Dryness caused by sun and salt
Below, the step-by-step morning and evening skincare routine I’m following while here in Florida—perfect for anytime you travel to skies that are suddenly much sunnier than those to which you’re accustomed.
