I actually love restaurant week. When you think about it, it’s the perfect way for people who love trying new things to try new things affordably. Restaurants all across the city participate (there are so many I’ve been meaning to try but haven’t gotten around to), and they often feature a special Restaurant Week pre-fixe menu that is an ideal way to taste the best of what each hotspot is known for. It’s on now through August 16th, so get out there and get eating (as if I need encouragement at 8.5 months pregnant).

Breaking news for anyone who loves shopping and hates waiting: Selfridges, the iconic London retailer you (should) already know and love, is officially launching Nominated Next Day Delivery in New York! (I know. I audibly squealed when I found this out, too, so you’re not alone.) This addition to the already stellar Selfridges+ service I’ve discussed before means that panicking over last-minute event dressing, or just suffering from the overall annoyance of delayed gratification, are things of the past.
