Have you been seeing these on your Instagram feeds on and off for a couple years? I’m here to tell you I’ve been secretly ice rolling for YEARS. If I have any true skin “secret weapon” it’s ICE. Honestly, I’ve been doing some form of facial icing since high school (first with just ice packs and now with this handy roller). While I try to do it at least once a week, I absolutely always make it a priority to ice roll two nights before any important “event” to ensure my skin is ready for prime time. It reduces puffiness, decreases inflammation, increases bloodflow, minimizes pores, the list goes on. Snag this $12 beauty on amazon and send me your glowing selfies.
Ice Rollers
When it comes to hairstyling, I have very little patience. I’m just not the type of person who is going to spend 45 minutes in front of a mirror in the morning to painstakingly curl my hair with a curling wand, and yet, I would very much like to have curled hair. Conundrum? Not exactly. Believe it or not, you can actually have your cake and eat it too when it comes to voluminous classic curls if you follow the simple steps outlined below. It’s a very easy process that really only requires 2-3 products and a trusty set of HOT ROLLERS. I know, I know, the 80s called and want their hair tools back. But, hear me out on this one—I’ve been mastering the process since I was a teenager. In this post, I break down exactly what products and tools I use, how I use them and why I use them. If you’re shocked and confused at my mention of hot rollers, read up!
Before jumping in, I should mention that my hair is naturally straight, and the process I detail below starts right after I’ve blow-dried my hair (I usually use this blow dryer). If you have naturally curly hair, you’d likely need to straighten your hair first—either with a flat iron or with a round brush—before jumping in.
