The key here is a very convenient loophole. This loophole only exists in space and time because the internet is so amazing at offering personalization options. That’s right, we’re getting Mom something personalized, and because personalized things can’t be returned, you can’t POSSIBLY BUY THEM AHEAD OF TIME WITHOUT MOM’S PRIOR CONSENT.
