Do you ever bake something so amazing that you start hoarding its ingredients so you can always make it any time a sudden craving shows up? That’s the case with Halfbaked Harvest’s Chocolate Banana Bread. I made this last week and it’s so delicious that I’m literally about to close my laptop and go bake it again. If you’re a fan of delicious things made in loaf pans, this one’s a winner. Pro-tip: Err on the side of leaving it in the oven too long to bake than too short. There’s nothing worse than realizing your loaf is starting to cave in the middle 30 minutes after you remove it from the oven because it didn’t quite bake through the center. I may have learned this the hard way…

The whole “ugly sweater” party was fun and all, but one sad side effect is that Fair Isle sweaters, which are definitely not ugly, got unfairly scooped up into that theme. Just because a clever sweatshirt with a Home Alone quote on it mimics a Fair Isle pattern, does not mean we should overlook an entire sweater genre. Especially not one this cozy. And also pretty. Today, I’m showing how you can easily (and chic-ly!) dress up your favorite Fair Isle for the next holiday party on your calendar, with the help of some fancy pants and a little classic sparkle a la David Yurman.
