Express One Eleven
Yes, Express as in the Express that you used to shop in real life in a mall right before swinging by the food court. Express has a line called One Eleven that includes such good basics, and it’s absolutely genius for anyone who feels like their summer essentials are a little lacking. I absolutely love these super soft, super affordable tops and just bought a bunch more for enjoying my last weeks of pregnancy in ultimate comfort. The London Tee is a particular favorite of mine. I think I have it in about 7 colors by now.
Welcome App
If you’re the type that loves to travel but hates actually planning travel, the Welcome App is going to alleviate so much stress for you. Welcome is an innovative new travel app that allows you to add your preferences, and the app suggests itineraries for you that adjust in real time—no advanced planning required. For example, if it starts to rain and that park suggestion is no longer a good call, a museum might take its place. It offers suggestions for everything from excursions to meals and also lets you know which method of travel you should take from A to B. Travelers who love exploring, but don’t have time for googling into oblivion before a trip will absolutely love this.
Nike Metcon Cross Training Sneakers
If you’re looking for a fantastic workout shoe, the Nike Metcon is officially my favorite (I have them in this pretty white/gold color combo). For years, I always gravitated toward a running shoe when needing a new pair of sneakers for the gym. However, I’ve been working with a prenatal trainer during my pregnancy who pointed out the importance of having a cross training shoe. Duh, Mary. If your workouts involve things other than running like weights, squats, lunges, burpees, TRX—anything of the Kayla Itsines variety—a cross-training shoe like these favorite Nike Metcons provide much better support and stability than a runner. Bonus points for being completely chic and kind of begging to be worn outside the gym, too.
Kosas Tinted Face Oil
You already know I’m obsessed with face oils (who isn’t at this point), so this buzz-worthy Kosas Tinted Face Oil was added to cart immediately. I’m happy to report that it’s AMAZING. The extremely lightweight skin nourisher is also a light coverage foundation that evens out your skin tone, minimizes pores (praise it), and offers many other skin benefits all while supporting your skin health. It’s been a godsend while I’ve been battling super dry skin during pregnancy. I also love the video on Sephora’s site where the founder breaks down exactly which oils are included and what effect they have on your skin. The product is perfect for summer when a full face of foundation might not feel so awesome.
Janessa Leone Packable Hats
You may have noticed that I’ve worn Janessa Leone hats almost exclusively over the last several years. Aside from just loving the styles this designer comes out with every season, the product quality is sublime and I personally really like that the hats come in multiple sizes so you can get the perfect fit. As if this brand couldn’t get better in my book, they’ve introduced several packable styles perfect for your summer jaunts. While I’ve become a pro at traveling with hats and either pack them into my suitcase carefully or traveling with a hat box, I always get questions from people who don’t have the same luck or experience preserving a hat’s shape while on the road. These packable hats are the perfect option for anyone who’s been wary of traveling with hats but also loves the look (and sun protection) they give. You can see just how easily they can be folded up into the smallest space without issue in this video. Magic.
