Aveda Blonde Revival Purple Toning Shampoo and Conditioner
Blondes know the importance of reliable toning products—especially in summertime. And, Memorandum readers obviously know how I feel about Aveda. The brand recently launched a new purple toning shampoo and conditioner pairing and it is outstanding. They let me test it out a couple months before launch, so believe me when I tell you that I know it’s GOOD. Better still, Nordstrom has it on sale for 25% off right now!
Artipoppe Zeitgeist Carrier
These super chic baby carriers are bringing me such joy right now. While they’re definitely an investment that originally had me very skeptical, they are SO COMFORTABLE, adjust easily from infancy to toddler stage, and have the added benefit of offering a little more style to your overall look than typical carriers. I’ve found this to be especially important during the postpartum period when I rarely (if ever?) feel stylish. Instead of feeling like a pack mule, putting on this carrier actually makes me feel like there’s “a look” happening, and that works wonders for my mood during these special-but-challenging postpartum days.
Willow Hands-Free Pump
This product is a lifesaver for those who are breastfeeding. The Willow pump is a wearable, in-bra breast pump that has thought of everything. It’s completely mobile and spill-proof, meaning you can do other things that you need to do as you pump. Its smart suction technology means it’s literally been engineered for comfort, and you can pump into storage bags or reusable containers—all while using a super quiet product. This pump has thought of every practical checklist item that mothers care about, and then delivered on them. I am eternally grateful.
H&M Linen
If you’re looking for some super easy summer linen style staples, you really need to take a look at H&M’s linen offerings this season. So far, I’ve purchased joggers (in three colors because I loved my first pair and decided to hoard more), plus these cropped pants and button-down in the happiest apricot hue which make the sweetest, airiest matching set!
Amazon Pajamas
This particular style of long sleeve button-down pajamas is my personal favorite, and therefore I am constantly purchasing new versions to stay abreast of which brands make the very best pair. While you can absolutely invest in pricier versions with luxe fabrics, this Amazon version is… outstanding. They’re incredibly soft and comfortable, the fit is spot-on, and they wash really well. Honestly, the hardest part is picking a color but at a price point that’s roughly one-third of comparable alternatives, you can go ahead and pick three.
Zella Tank
These Zella tanks, shoppable at Nordstrom, are absolutely ideal. They’re billed for working out and are certainly amazing for a good sweat sesh, but their subtle, simple design doesn’t scream athleticwear which makes them supremely versatile outside of the gym, too. You can layer them underneath any number of spring styles, or even wear them on their own with jeans or leggings. I’m telling you, you won’t find a better tank in terms of affordability and versatility. I’ve purchased in both black and white and the white is not see-through, which is another big win. I recommend snagging these before more five-star reviews flood in and they go the way of other Zella staples which are perpetually sold out.
Cult Gaia’s Yasmina Bag
Always a standout brand for its endless ability to engineer cool summer bags, Cult Gaia has presented us with yet another beauty for summer 2021. This incredibly stylish top-handle bag is very, very ready for you to take it to a rooftop/backard/beer garden. Prepare yourself for roughly 57 “where’d you get thats.”
J. Crew Sandals
Let’s not forget J.Crew for its shoe selection—to do so would be a crime against your feet. Take a scroll through their shoe section, particularly if you’re shy on sandals for summer. I just bought these and am obviously going back for another color because they are like dipping your feet in butter. Also currently in my cart: a pair of geometric sandals, woven flats, and ridiculously cute buckle slides.
Big Sibling Sweater
I recently received this absolutely darling sweater as a gift for Coco (who is easing into her new role and letting her sister know which jewelry of mine she’s already claimed). It is such a sweet gift for big siblings and big siblings to-be, and since it’s not kitschy, they can actually get quite a bit of wear out of it!

Reviving our go-to lunch options before summer is such a smart move, especially as the farmers markets and groceries start to get all that delightful seasonal produce. My cousin (who is a nurse practitioner) sent me a package of this hydration/energy drink mix as a welcome home from the hospital gift after I had Liza. Since then, I’ve had one every morning and never want to live life without them. They’re a single-serving electrolyte drink mix made with naturally caffeinated matcha and guayusa blended with ginger. Each packet offers a natural source of 100mg caffeine (roughly 1-2 cups of coffee), without any of the jittery effects. The taste is so refreshing and delicious, I can’t wait to have them each morning.
Tiered Dresses, Please!
I’ve seen SO many charming, flowy tiered dresses this year and I, for one, am really, really into the idea. I’ll be starting with this beauty because the price point and ruffle collar are calling my name.
