    H&M Cropped Jeans

So, fun fashion tidbit I picked up recently, apparently H&M Jeans are super comfy?! I know we’ve all become heavily dependent on our leather leggings this winter, but when spring finally gets its act together I know where I’m outfitting my legs first.  I’m super into the cropped, wide-leg cut of this pair and absolutely love the color selection.

    Pinch Provisions Travel Kit

Last week, I mentioned upping your travel game by utilizing a “travel pouch” situation (you can check out the post here), and shared what I include in mine in the comments section. If you’re not sure what should go in yours, a Pinch Provisions Travel Kit is the perfect place to start.

    Lela Rose’s New Pearl Collection

Very fun news: Lela Rose has launched a new line called Pearl and (no surprise) it is DROOL-WORTHY! Essentially a more affordable collection of the designer’s absolutely gorgeous, undeniably feminine aesthetic. And, if you think I’m not going to live in this cotton poplin off-the-shoulder dress all summer well then, we should talk.

    Rain Boots

If the thought of even more waterproof footwear doesn’t excite you, the fact that you get to wear them in rain, as opposed to snow certainly will. As spring rains start to descend, I’ll be relying on my (extremely trustworthy and classic) Hunter Boots that I’ve worn forever, but don’t be afraid to branch out a little this spring, either. A high gloss rain boot in either low heeled or higher heeled formats offer a bit more polish than the standard wellies, so much so that they can literally be worn as just… cute boots when a quick footwear change isn’t…

    The Travel Pouch

Neat little trick I’ve recently put to use: Have you ever tried traveling with a dedicated “travel pouch” in your carry-on? Essentially, it’s your essentials, all in one place. You keep a pouch packed with the in-flight necessities that you always need, but never want to rummage for, and they’re never further than a pouch away. Keep it in the seat back pocket on the plane, or close to the opening of your under-seat carry-on, and completely eliminate the frustration of spilling out the contents of your bag into the aisle, only to suffer beneath the wheels of a beverage…

Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat on Netflix

I am loving these shorter format documentaries on Netflix, given that I don’t always have time or even the desire to commit to a new 20-episode endeavor. Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat is a new four-part docuseries starring Samin Nosrat, a chef and food writer you’re about to become obsessed with for the way she explores flavors and entices you to want to do the same. In just four episodes, she takes you around the world and introduces you to methods and flavors you never knew about, but absolutely need to.

    The Everlane Trench

If there’s a more classic coat for spring, I don’t know about it—and I don’t think I want to. I’m a huge fan of the timeless trench coat as a spring style topper, and this year I’m putting Everlane’s back into heavy rotation. I’ve had this one for years and you can’t beat the price point or the quality. The length is actually perfect—not too long, not too short—and please check out how highly reviewed this coat is! Literally everyone loves it, including me, to the tune of making it one of my multiple colorway purchases (it also comes in navy…

    Line & Dot’s Alden Sweater

Can we talk sweater shapes for a minute? Because I’m in love with this one. It creates a really fresh, wearable silhouette that’s great at mixing up what can only be a sleepy sweater situation at this point in the year. Wear them now with your winter bottoms of choice, and then keep wearing them all summer with jean shorts while enjoying sunsets on the beach.  Needless to say, this style comes in several bright, spring-y shades that serve as a reminder that the sky and our wardrobes will be bright and brilliant again soon. Now if someone could just…

    The Clockmaker’s Daughter

Are you ready for more page-turning from the author of The Lake House? Obviously. I just finished Kate Morton’s recent novel and if you’re looking for something to keep you company during the remainder of these cold months or toss into your vacation bag, you just found it. All that’s missing is a massive “do not disturb” sign to stick into the sand next to you, and you’re all set. This book is SO GOOD. Also, if you prefer to consume your favorite novels audibly, Joanne Froggatt (who played Anna on Downton Abbey) narrates the unabridged Audible version and does…

So every Monday-Friday, my favorite new podcast, Skimm This, is your 11 minute recap of all the relevant news you need to know about. Rather than feel like you need to spend your evening catching up on the news of the day, take an 11-minute listen on your way home and start your evening all caught up. Genius.
