VEST: Marissa Webb (long version here, grey version here) | TANK: Milly | PANTS: Theory | SHOES: L.A.M.B. | BAG: Loeffler Randall

This is another look I sported during Fashion Week in New York last week. I’m wearing a graphic tank under the Marissa Webb cropped vest, which worked for the creative professional vibe I needed between meetings and shows that day. Since then, I’ve worn the vest over this black dress, for a more classic work-ready look, but I also think you could swap out the tank easily with a white silk blouse like this one if your work environment is more conservative. I’d also check out this tee and this tank as great options for layering under the vest as well. Options, baby, options!
P.S. I just updated my Shop page with lots of fall favorites here!

Hi! great outfit!! would you mind telling me what size pants you are wearing? i believe theory runs a little small, but that info would give me a good point of reference, is there any stretch at all? THANKS!
Happy to share, though I should mention from my experience (and I own a pretty good amount of Theory), the brand runs totally true to size, and if anything, I’ve found some of the pieces to run large. The pants I’m wearing are a Size 2, and this particular pair has a hint of stretch, but not much. I absolutely love them and think both the fit and style are amazing for work!
I think I need to invest in a vest. I really like this dressy, casual look. 🙂

Hi Mary, wondering if you get your slim/straight pants tailored? They have such a nice straight line – most pants like this look tapered from the front on me, and have a funny break at the knee. Maybe it’s just my massive calf muscles 😉
