But after going through the process at Macy’s with the bride-to-be, I learned that there are soooo many additional reasons to register at Macy’s.  After your wedding day, newlyweds who register at Macy’s receive 20% off most remaining registry items for SIX MONTHS!  Believe me, this is a KILLER perk to take advantage of when you want to pick up the last odds and ends that your wedding guests didn’t purchase.

We did this for lots of items. For example, I remember we received ten red wine glasses. So, we purchased the remaining two on our registry after our wedding so that we had the full set of twelve.   Having that 20% discount is a game-changer, especially after you’ve spent a lot of moolah on the wedding and honeymoon!

When we were planning our honeymoon two years ago, our first choice was to go to the Maldives. However, it was the rainy season so we switched gears and went to the Seychelles.  I’m still absolutely DYING to go to the Maldives and will be endlessly jealous of whoever wins this!!
