Once again tapping into the 70s style renaissance with one of my favorite denim brands today. If you’re thinking of snatching up a pair of flares, Frame Denim is an awesome way to go. The fit is fantastic and they might just be the most comfortable pair I own.
While the overall feel of the ensemble is unmistakably 70s retro, I like the subtle nod to the victorian trend with the mock neck lace top. If you work in a creative or casual environment where this type of casual ensemble would fly, the high neck lace top with beautiful back button detailing is a great, conservative way to introduce the otherwise tricky lace trend into your work style. Just make sure you wear a white or nude camisole under this puppy… because HR. That could get dicey. For those of you who can’t get away with something quite this casual, I think the top would tuck nicely into a pencil skirt (love this one) as well. We got lots o’ options with this baby.
Thanks for all of your well wishes yesterday. Unfortunately the flu still has me down for the count, missing the first few days of fashion week. I’m waiting for my body to just be like Psych! JK! You’re all better now so go hop on a plane to NYC! Stay tuned.
Happy Friday everyone!
