Beyond just self-gifting, the Box Of Style is also a really beautiful gift to send to friends and family we have to be distant from right now. Summer birthdays are going to be a bit different this year, and I can’t think of a more welcome surprise to get in the mail. The Summer Scarf
It’s hard to choose a favorite, but honestly, ordering the summer Box of Style is entirely worth just getting this gorgeous scarf alone (which also comes in pink!). We all know and love the summer scarf, but this year our summer scarves are taking on entirely new roles (especially this lightweight perfectly-oversized style). You can wear them as a cover-up, sarong, shawl, bag accessory, headband, etc.—there are really endless options. However, when playing around with this particular scarf as a headband, I actually realized it can double as an ingenious face mask as well. Here’s the quick how-to: Fold the scarf in half diagonally, twist the middle and tie it like a headband at the nape of the neck (see images above and below). Whenever you need an instant (and super chic) face mask, you can take the ends of the scarf that are hanging down and pull them up and over your nose and mouth, securing them behind your ears by tucking them into the headband (again, see below). I’m telling you, this might be my best invention ever, because (a) you get a chic headband, (b) you don’t have to worry about forgetting a mask because you’ve got a built-in mask at the ready whenever you need it, and (c) you don’t have to deal with an annoying mask bunched around your neck all day when you’re not using it. Rachel created this scarf with amazing designer Peter Som (it’s a print right from the runway) and in addition to the “meteorite” color I’m wearing, it also comes in the most gorgeous “rose quartz” hue. Whichever color you choose, it’s the perfect size and weight (it’s super breathable!) for using as a mask and of course, you have to love a little subtle tassel action for summertime, too.

The Summer Earring
Ok moving on to the rest of the box: May I ask, who doesn’t love a fun summer earring? Seriously, I want names. Even if you’re just wearing it in your backyard or the mirror to take selfies? (We’ve all done it.) This pair is particularly mirror-worthy, made by Panacea which is a female-owned accessories brand that you can clearly see knows how to design the perfect festive pair of beaded earrings. Someday you’re going to wear these to a pool party with a maxi dress, but until then, wear them to the park. I certainly will.
