Goodnight Macaroon is a brand I’ve recently discovered and quickly fallen for. The first look today is perfect if your office is more formal; the second is perfect for a more casual nine-to-five. Lace is something I’m careful with at the office because sometimes the boudoir connotation can come across inappropriately in a professional setting. However, the high neck and tailored fit of the top paired with a classic black pencil skirt makes the ensemble perfect for any work environment. And these flats with the gold ankle strap? Uhh… yes. Just, yes.
The second look today features (what I think should be declared) the eighth wonder of the world: the sweatshirt (!!!) sheath dress. Cut like a sheath dress in shape and length but made in the most delicious heather grey sweatshirt material, this dress is indescribably brilliant. While the sweatshirt material makes it suitable only for those of you who work in casual offices, the classic cut makes it amazingly versatile for work or play. Or pajamas. Literally, you name it.
If you’re a new fan of Goodnight Macaroon like I am and are thinking of ordering one of these pieces (or the white crochet top from Friday’s post) be sure to pay attention to their sizing chart and order one size up. They run a bit small… just like their price points (sha-wing!). Happy Monday!

I love both looks, depending on the occasion. The first one perfect for the office and a gorgeous casual dress for weekends. Designing a sweatshirt sheath dress is brilliant indeed!

Was just introduced to Goodnight Macaroon and that lace top is one of my favorite pieces yet. I love how you made it more mature than playful with the pencil skirt!

I have tried to order a few pieces several times from goodnight macaroon. Their website doesn’t seem to be working. Furthermore, when I’ve reached out for help from the site, no one has ever contacted me back. Has anyone else had the same problem?
The first top totally makes me wish I could wear high-neck tops!

Are you wearing a strapless under? I LOVE this top but I have to find a strapless that would hold up properly for the entire work day. Do you have suggestions?
I'm actually just wearing a normal one that's nude colored. The lace is dense and opaque enough that you really can't see it. If you are concerned about show-through, you could definitely wear a strapless or even a thick-strapped nude camisole to cover any straps. : )

I just wanted to report that I did NOT have a good experience when ordering from Goodnight Macaroon. Their clothes are cheaply made knock-offs from China and while the prices seem super reasonable for how beautiful the clothes look on all these lovely fashion blogs, they are WAY overpriced for the quality. I’m sure there are some gems to be found but in my experience it is much too risky when you would have to pay to ship the purchases back to Hong Kong if they don’t fit or don’t meet expectations of quality. You do not get your original shipping costs reimbursed (in my case, express shipping was $25 and my ill-fitting, unlined, polyester dress arrived the day AFTER the wedding I needed it for). In addition, they have only email as a means to contact them. My first concerned email to them went completely ignored. They did eventually reply to my second email but the customer service cannot be counted on. In my opinion, buyer beware!
