A little off-duty style this Friday to welcome both the weekend, and the warm weather months that (I promise) are just around the corner. It’s hard not to start feeling a little warmer just perusing all of the spring styles that are hitting stores right now like this floral maxi skirt.
So take the hint, winter. We’re over you.
As you can see, I had fun with the pattern play of the skirt against the striped sleeveless mock neck sweater. Especially while the seasons are in transition, I’m a huge fan of taking lighter spring and summer pieces—like this skirt—and mixing them with heavier pieces—like knitwear and leather. The edge of the leather jacket perfectly tempers the light, über feminine floral maxi skirt, making for a combination that packs both a practical (hello, it’s still cold-ish) and aesthetically pleasing punch.
The touches of black in the skirt made it easy to pair with black for this transitional look, but check out how they styled the skirt on the product page. I mean… I’m in heart failure.
Whether you’re dressing up or just running errands, there are few pieces more versatile and (more importantly) comfortable than a maxi skirt. If you’re a fan of the one I’m featuring today, just take a look at this guy and try not to pass out. I’m chomping at the bit to add that one to my collection as well. And here I thought I wasn’t big on floral…

I’m not big on maxi skirts but this one would work very nicely at a garden party, don’t you think?
Love the look and the pairing of the stripes with the floral print. The red lips just top off the look! I enjoy following you and seeing your looks.
The same to you! Great weekend! Thanks for the outfit ideas! I loved all of them as always!
You put this together, awesomely. Not an outfit I would personally feel comfortable wearing. Particularly that skirt. Just too much for me. At times, in your photos, it looks like it’s a flowy pair of pants! I agree with the pairing of the thick, stronger leather jacket with the flowy, feminine maxi skirt.

That skirt is perfection, and I love how you incorporated the striped top. I’m so over winter, too!

Love that you’re wearing that double buckle belt again. This is such an edgy spring outfit! Wonderful for Easter, Mother’s Day brunch and graduations.
This outfit is so perfect! I love the combination with the stripe, but the floral is absolutely jaw-dropping!
