While plaid flannel is not for everyone’s workplace, especially those on the more formal side, it can definitely fly in business casual environments if styled the right way.  I picked a fitted plaid flannel shirt with black jeweled buttons and further counterbalanced the traditionally informal textile with slightly dressier elements including these sleek black cropped dress pants and pointed-toe pumps. For chilly afternoons at my desk, this cable knit cardigan vest is my life-saver. Well, this cardigan and a bottle of whiskey.  The combo really does the trick.
