There are trendy colors, and then there are your colors, and you don’t need anyone’s permission to rock them head-to-toe. While I’m always interested in road-testing “trendy” hues, you’ll never find me more loyal to a fall color than burgundy.
I’ve taken things to heart with this look, a monochromatic burgundy outfit I’ve been excited to wear for weeks. Pairing a wrap top (fun fact, it’s actually a bodysuit, so you know it’ll stay in place) with a pencil skirt and a heel that’s actually the mother of all mules. To finish things off, I’m wearing this favorite Laura Mercier lip in hue Power and the newest addition to my bag collection, the glorious Senreve Maestra bag in a fresh burgundy hue.
Universally flattering, this color always surprises me with how versatile it is. It looks great on everyone, but also looks great with everything. Unexpectedly, burgundy pairs really well with blues, browns, blacks, and camels, so will constantly amaze you with how much wear you’ll get out of it.

That stunning burgundy statement coat? Buy it. You’ll wear it so much more than you think, and we all know buyers regret should be avoided at all costs. (Pun intended.) If you really want to go full burgundy-bold this fall, what you really need to ponder is a bag…
In exciting burgundy news—you may recall how much I adore the Senreve Maestra bag, mainly because I can’t stop talking about how much I adore the Senreve Maestra bag. Alternating easily from backpack, to crossbody, to satchel to tote, this brilliantly designed bag has the added quality of also being stunning. My favorite bag for work, travel, and just toting my necessaries from point A to point B, I had to have it in, yes friends—burgundy. Mimosa Bordeaux to be precise (how cute is that color name), the bag’s burgundy option is currently available for pre-order and will soon be seen in an Instagram story near you. Cheers.
