First off, today is the LAST DAY of early access to the Norstrom Anniversary Sale and everything I’m wearing in today’s post is included in the sale! If you’re a cardholder (or super friendly with someone who is!) you should snatch up your favorites today before the flood gates open tomorrow and things sell out even faster. If you’re not a cardholder, clear your calendar and start carbo loading now. It’s gonna be a great Friday.

As you know from my Spring Trend Memo, shirting is really having a moment (or more like a revolution!) and I can’t get enough. While I love me a classic crisp button-down, now is the time to spice up your arsenal of these wear-to-work (and play!) staples. This season’s modern takes on classic menswear shirting include the addition of bell sleeves, ruffle details, embroidery, you name it. Exhibit A: this striped button down with subtle embroidery detail that really kicks things up a notch. Exhibits B and C: this ruffled button down (remember this from my Instagram live?!) and this scalloped button-down. All of these shirts infuse your work wardrobe with some serious style without raising eyebrows. Check out more of my favorite “classic shirts with a twist” below!

I also have to say that this lace pencil skirt is one of my favorite purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale thus far. It’s not often that you can find DVF pieces at such a discount, and I can’t say enough good things about this beauty. The skirt fits like a dream and has a bit of stretch (without being skin-tight) which makes it the most comfortable pencil skirt on the planet.

Lastly, these nude pumps! I have to be honest, when I saw the sub-$70 price tag on these puppies I was a little wary. However, I know some of my readers (especially those of you who are recent grads!) are always asking for affordable work shoe recommendations, so I wanted to test these out and report back. After wearing them around all day, I can give them a solid two thumbs up! This particular Charles David pointy-toe pump comes in four absolutely phenomenal colors, so if you’re just starting out and looking for a budget-friendly heel for the office, add these to your list. Speaking of budget-friendly, be sure to check out the recent post with all of my finds under $50!
